It's finally here Ladies and Gentlemen! The Tau Online Grand Summer Story Competition! (Or TOGSS as we like to affectionately call it in the depths on the competition committee).

After you have read all of the stories, please select the 4 that you thought were the best. Just as a bit of advice, the things that the judges will be marking the stories on are Spelling/Grammar, Plot, Ease of Read, Characters and Plausability...however it's over to you!

Just to re-iterrate, your decision in this poll will make up 50% of each entrant's score, with the other 50% being made up by the judges markings! The final results being announced right at the end of the month.

I cannot thank everyone who entered enough, as this truely is a awesome display of literary talent, proving once again that Tau Online is a great forum with some of the most talented members!

Well, enough of the small talk, good luck to you all! (Everyone get's a prize in this competition by the way...even for finishing last!)

Cheers,

--42 and the Competition Committee

I'm quite surprised. Barely anyone has commented on any of the stories, heck I've only done it on two. It's almost as if the ones towards the bottom and on the second page are being neglected and thats a real shame. Some of the least viewed ones are the best. Only six people have viewed the Lampetie Accounts and thats definitely one of the best there is.

Yeah, I hope those don't get neglected, and I don't think they will be. I started at the back, but that's just me. I'm still working my way through the stories (and have read some really good ones so far!). Once I'm finished reading I'll vote (big surprise right, ). BTW, when does the voting close? I want to make sure I don't miss it.

Just a random note, I think you should sticky this topic so that it doesn't get pushed down at all (unlikely I know, but what the hell :P)

Good point, is there a way of rotating their positions fairly.

Well, we could get one member to post a bumping post which will bring the ones at the back onto the front page. I'd do it, but unfortunately, I'd be biased towards my own story (i.e. keep my on the front page for as long as possible).

Oh and when I say biased, I mean I proof read it four times trying to get it under the 10k word limit and had to get rid of the Cannoness/Inquisitor fight (which was very amusing to write I can say and even had me laughing at the insults an Inquisitor can say to a pious over-zealous nun with a gun) and several bits about the two Librarians which helped establish their characters. Btw, you may be able to get which one is mine if you've read it from all that

When does the vote close BTW? Having read all and voted, all that is left for me to do is read comments others make, and wait for final results.

I shouldn't think bias would come into it too much FT, replies on this board are few and far between so it would probably just become routine, every day bump the ones at the bottom up to the top if they have either a low amount of replies or a low view count, of course it would also be nice to have some comments accompany the post (*is desperately wanting to find out what people think about his own story which is now on the second page )
