Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but, with the writers consent, why don't we offer them as a downloadable PDF, either available here or the TO website, as well as the web-based version. (web based on To website as well?)

You could very easily copy them into your word processing application, maybe clean it up a bit, add pictures and fluff where appropriate save as a PDF and upload to a free file hosting website which allows a link to download. (Like Box.net)

I'm willing to do this, if im allowed, and got the owners permission.

So, what do you think.

Getting the creator's permission would certainly help, and I think that would be the biggest difficulty, tracking who gave permission and for what etc.

Hmmm, appears that i have come up with a good idea then.

So, if I/anyone whos doing it Pm's the original creater ofr permission, and if permission is granted, keep a copy, and on the download, put who made it.

And yes Slave, it will be a bit hard choosing, maybe a committee for it?

So, I think i shall let you Mods and Admins decide about this, yeah?

Well, basically as you said - PM the author, get their permission (can't see many people saying no) and the create the PDF, then discuss with FT/TO about hosting it on the site (or even a link in a sticky to something like Megaupload or rapidshare or something)

I've just put forward the idea of the committee now for the mods thoughts/opinions, and Majusy!, if you would like to start the process of PMing members/getting permission, it would be appreciated .

I think it's a good idea but I don't think a comittee[sp?] is necessary. All you need to do is find completed Codexes, preferably ones that use the provided formatting tables, and then create the PDF. Getting their permission won't be hard and you can just ask around to see who agrees with helping. Also, as Naieth said, making a thread for each one would also be useful and it would get stickied.

Ah Sweet, cool. I shall need help finding good rules, although i am willing to do all of them. :P (Wargamer can help here)

So, should i put a list of members permission here, or a new thread?

And what about where to put the PDFs?

EDIT:
Started one PDF, got permission from D Black, and therefor started the Big Book Of Characters. Have found a background image for it, but it is GW, can i use it if i put Copyright onto it?
