Default Updating the Website

Is it just me, or does it seem like all those articles on the home page are really old and we need new content? Given that this forum generates enough *new* content to make GW jealous, it'd be nice to see it up there, without having to bookmark a million threads.

I don't much care with how the home page looks, but it really needs content updates. :-\ I'd start with maybe putting relevant stickies from all the boards in the respective places.

And (I haven't checked really) but why not have the Vassal 40k site linked or something?

Thanks for taking the time to post, Tak , and I agree with you.

If you have any suggestions as to what to put on the website, let me know and I'll try to get them up there ASAP .

Perhaps a lot of the articles from each races "Important Topics" section and tutorials from the Hobby boards.

Korill actually hit it right on the head. Those would be the best place to start. I could try flagging some topics I think should be added but then it'd be a bit biased.

How about updating the dictionary? Try spelling 'eviscerator' (As i often have to!) The spell check always says I've spelt it wrong but can't give me the correct spelling (Niggly after a while!)I'm sure there are other examples too, but that was the one that gets me!
It's a noble wish to have everyone spelling things correctly and using the correct grammar. I applaud TO for trying but if the spellcheck can't pick up spelling mistakes for game specific terms then I'm afraid it's doomed to failure.
Related to this, is it possible to link the spellcheck into the 'post' button so if someone wants to post they have to spellcheck, just an idea

How about killing some of the more stupid comments on the articles on the main site?

"HA HA HA

U SUCK

LULZ"

They seriously get annoying after a while...

Why not have an article writing contest, and the top X number for each race get put up on there?

Why not find a load of great posts, get the posters permission and them format them as articles?

Me and Tau Online were looking at that a while back ourself and I think it'll be a major feature (at least for us, the admins) in the next site update
