Default Access from a mobile device

I just wanted to say Thank You to whatever mysterious power arranged for TO to detect that someone is accessing it from a handheld and produce a more handheld-friendly page. I checked my messages from a Blackberry a couple weeks ago, and it worked far better than I expected. While there are few sites that don't work at all through a BB, this one was absolutely the most functional I've ever used on a handheld. Even mighty Google is more confusing than what I saw from Tau Online!

Heh, well most websites tend to have a mobile version of themselves, like mobile google, mobile facebook and iphone facebook. Glad you find it useful though =)

If I recall correctly, this forum is accessible through ?wap, ?wap2 and ?imode.

I'd use either of the last two for usability. Come to think of it.. an iphone/3g forum interface would be neat...

I just access the normal page when I use my N95. Works fine on the home wi-fi, and normal 3g if I don't mind paying :P

Metal fans are allowed to use stereotyped generalisations of other types of music. Why? Because the "avatar" of Rap and similar music is a binged up black guy who holds his gun in such a way as he will probably shoot his own foot off in a gunfight. The avatar of Metal is a bearded, unwashed Scandinavian guy who kills you, your family, your town, your country and the neighbouring country because there isn't much else to do up in the snowy fjords of Vikingland.
