Without a child board, the main board gets cluttered with army lists.

With a seperate board, all the various army lists clash.

In short, the current situation is as good as it can get, I think.

We just switched this around recently, and so I think re-doing the whole system would just confuse people and may extra work for mods. Plus I agree with David Hasselhoff (...) that the current system is best.

No problem - Everyone's entitled to their opinion, although last time the majority said they'd prefer the army list boards like this.
