I'm just getting back into the game and I intend to have a small game to get used to the new edition etc. My model range is quite limited at the moment, so what changes I can make will not be too big.

Looks pretty solid to me, but if i may id make a few suggestions.
HQ: Not a huge fan of fireknives, but if they work for you then stick with them. However, if you were to change some stuff up id give one a CIB instead of the MP itll give him a little better range of stuff he can kill effectively. Second id drop the second suit from HQ down to an elite suit. It will save some points, and let you field another suit. Elites: The stealth suits look good, im guessing they all have BC, which will give you some good firepower. Perhaps give the TL (if there is one) a HWDC with a marker drone for a markerlight. If you do decide to cut one HQ down to an elite, id give him a buddy (another fireknife since you said they work good for you). It should up your overall fire power, with some overall army efficiency. Troops: FW team looks solid, though if you are only going to use them for objectives id cut them to 6 instead of 10. Kroot, MORE kroot! Though im not a huge fan, they should be fielded in bigger units then just 10. If possible id up it to 12 or 14 kroot with some hounds. It will give you some fair CC potential, and hopefully they wont run of the board as soon. HS: Solid as a rock, your description pretty much spells it out. My 2 cents. |

Change the one HQ unit to a bodyguard for the first and you can save points. Other than that I would increase the number of kroot or make another group of 10. Also consider changing the suits to fusion/plasma since the missile pods are expensive and you lack a good way to kill heavy infantry right now. Also the fusions can take out enemy walkers with ease.
You should also add a single or two shield drones to the HQ, mainly since they tend to draw lots of fire.

Unfortunately I don't have more kroot available.
I could probably reduce a Shas'el to a Shas'ui TL with same equipment and add another XV8, sounds like a good idea. I haven't gotten used to 5th ed yet so my configs might be somewhat oldschool but they used to rock hard, I suppose I'll figure out soonish how well they perform under the current rules.

One commander with cyclic ion and burst cannon, the other with a plasma rifle and fusion blaster would give them both different jobs.
Adding an airbursting fragmentation projector over the burst cannon is an option. I would also suggest giving both HQ's a single shield drone. After all this, increase the kroot amount.
