Hi,
I wanted a change with my Tau, so I've created a Farsight list. The list obviously is much smaller than my normal Tau list, only has 2 small scoring units, and missed outflanking kroot that I normally use. With those concerns out of the way I’d appreciate any advice on the list. Is the Farsight bodyguard too big ? Should I upgrade any gun drones to shield drones ? Do I need more target locks in the bodyguard ? Do I have too many markerlights ? Anyway here’s the list: Commander Farsight - 170 Bodyguard - 474 Shas'vre Bodyguard 1: Plasma Rifle, Missile Pod, Targetting Array Hard-wired Multi-tracker & Drone Controller with 2 Shield Drones Shas'vre Bodyguard 2: Plasma Rifle, Missile Pod, Targetting Array Hard-wired Multi-tracker & Drone Controller with 2 Gun Drones Shas'vre Bodyguard 3: Missile Pod, Burst Cannon, Targetting Array Hard-wired Multi-tracker & Drone Controller with 2 Shield Drones Shas'vre Bodyguard 4: Missile Pod, Burst Cannon, Targetting Array Hard-wired Multi-tracker & Drone Controller with 2 Gun Drones Shas'vre Bodyguard 5: Twin-linked Missile Pod, Fusion Gun, Hard-wired Target Lock [This Farsight Bomb consists of Farsight, 5 Crisis suits, 4 Shield drones & 4 Gun drones. I envisage that it starts in the middle and moves to where it can do the most damage or away from any threats that could kill it, eg. Terminators, nob bikers etc. The bodyguard is set-up mainly for light vehicle and infantry killing with the lone fusion gun for emergency tank killing if boosted by a couple of markerlights. I would like a couple more shield drones, but as usual I don’t know where else to lose the points] Crisis Battlesuit Team - 90 1 Crisis Battlesuit Shas'ui Twin-linked Flamers, Missile Pod 1 Crisis Battlesuit Shas'ui Twin-linked Missile Pods, Flamer [These either stay back for missile pod support, or if there is a good target for the flamers (eg. Eldar Pathfinders)they will deepstrike using the scatter reroll ability of the pathfinder devilfish] 6 Fire Warriors - 60 Devilfish - 120 Targeting Array, Smart Missile System, Multi-Tracker & Disruption Pods 6 Fire Warriors - 60 [with only 2 scoring units these will stay in reserve, with the pathfinder devilfish staying with 8” of the table edge so the unmounted squad can hop in as soon as they come on. The turn they come on (assuming the pathfinder devilfish is still alive I can get to one objective with 15” of my table edge and another within 29” of my table edge] 8 Pathfinders (incl Shas'ui with Free Bonding) - 106 Devilfish - 120 Targeting Array, Smart Missile System, Multi-Tracker & Disruption Pods [These will find the best cover, and light up targets from long range, I’d really like a target lock on the shas’ui, but I’m not sure where to find the pts. The devilfish will try to stay back while staying within line of sight of where the crisis suit unit wants to deepstrike.] Skyray - 165 Networked Markerlights, Seeker Missiles, Smart Missile System Targeting Array, Multi-Tracker & Disruption Pods Hammerhead Battle Tank - 170 Railgun, 2 Burst Cannons Multi-Tracker, Target Lock & Disruption Pods Drone Controlled Broadside Battlesuit Team - 215 Shas'ui Broadside Team Leader (Free Bonding) Twin-linked Plasma Rifles Advanced Stabilisation System Hard-wired Drone Controller with 2 Shield Drones Hard-wired Multi-Tracker & Target Lock 1 Shas'ui Broadside Advanced Stabilisation System [These units do what they always do; put holes in tanks, while secondary weapons take out infantry. The skyray will be used to contest objectives, given that it can move 12” and fire all it’s weapons and it’ll be less of a threat to the enemy once it’s missiles have been fired] Any advice on the viability of a farsight list and/or my list particular list would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rathstar

I think that monstrous HQ unit will be trouble. Because it can do almost everything but not really good and not in the same turn. Maby target locks?
Other than that the list looks playable i think.
