Default Farsight (1500)pt see what you think

Well this is my attempt at a Farsight Army, what do you think? ^^

HQ

Farsight

Elites

3 Crisis Suits

[i]1- FusionB and MissilePod with Tar-Array and Hw-MultiTr (Shas'vre)
2- BurstC and MissilePod with Tar-Array and Hw-MultiTr (Shas'ui)
3- PlamsaR and MissilePod with Tar-Array and Hw-MultiTr (Shas'ui)

Troops

2 FireWarrior Squads - 2 x 132 (Two members have photon, Leaders have Markerlight)

DevilFish with Tar-Array, MultiTr, FletDis, DisPod and DecoyL
(attached with Pathfinders)


FastAttack

5 Pathfinders 4- Shas'la (3 with Railrifles)
1- Shas'ui

6 Drones

HeavySupport

3 Broadsides
1- (Shas'ui) with Tar-Array and Hw-MultiTr (or Tar-Lock?)
2- (Shas'ui) with Tar-Array and Hw-MultiTr (or Tar-Lock?)
3- (Shas'vre) with Tar-Array and Hw-DroneCon - MarkerDrone


Sniper Team

HammerHead with every upgrade going bar sensorSpines and Seekers

I'll mostly be playing Eldar/Crons/Demons
So go on what you waiting for Abuse my list and tell me how it is :P

mobile semi ok, anti tank check, solid fall back plan.....lacking.

Mind you this doesnt look to bad, but there is always room for comments.

Firstly, your first shas`vre.

Make him a team leader instead. War gear options become open, hard wired options galore. saves you 5 pts. Youll still hit basic troops on 4s, anything ws 5...meh dead on contact.

second crisis suit, did you run out of points for a plasma, or fusion blaster? and is he a team leader?

likewise third crisis on that team leader.

Firewarriors. Be sure to include bonding knives, they are free in farsight based armies. youll need them if they break. Photons im 50/50 with. Because you either break with many, and get sweeped, or break with few, and get sweeped.

Devilfish-Ditch the target array. With smart missiles maybe, but burst cannons are ok with bs 3.

Devil fish, ditch the decoy launchers. you already have a 50/50 after moving 12 why make it a twin linked bs 3 shot? Disruption pods ftw.

and again dont forget the bonding knife.

As already mentioned, the Elites are not correct.
Shas'uis can't take Hardwired Wargear.
Same with Broadsides.

In my opinion Railrifles are better on Sniper Drones than Pathfinders, Pathfinders are better for used for Markerlight support. (Just my opinion).

Photon Grenades iirc are only a "everyone in the squad or none" option, so you can't take only 2 (might be false so, not really sure).
Besides that, i don't like Photon Grenades.

If there are Assaulters the next turn, just put your Firewarrior in your Devilfish

I would replace the Gun Drone Squad with a Stealth Team.
More Shots/Points, more surviveable against long range fire and you can take a Markerdrone on them instead of on the Broadside giving it JSJ and stealthfield.

Ah yeah, Bonding Knives for everyone!

aren't you only allowed 3 heavy slots? I thought farsight made every battlesuit a single unit, that would me that you have 5 heavy support slots?

afaik farsight only makes that you can only take one squad of broadsides.
one squad of broadside still can have up to 3 single member.

I thought that all armies had to have a shas'o or shas'el because it is "1+".

Commander Farsight aka O'Shovah qualifies as the 1+ Shas'O.
By all intents and purposes he is a Tau Commander.

In case it wasn't clear from the previous posts, much of your army is illegal. I'd suggest scrapping it, re-reading the armoury and army list, and starting again.

Your Crisis, Fire warriors, and Broadsides are illegal.

Your vehicles have too much wargear on them. They're generally overloaded, and have decoy launchers. Decoy launchers are only useful 1/36 of the time (or less).

Your Crisis team is conflicted. Figure out its target and battlefield role.

Why's this a farsight list? He's cool and all, but I don't see his bodyguard, nor anything that could accompany him into assault.

Restrictions are 0-1 Battlesuit Team
Teams of BS are 1-3

It has been since Tau 4th ed codex.
