ive been colletcing tau for a while and im not sure what units to get next, my current army is as follows:

HQ:
shas'o with cyclic ion blaster, shield generator and fusion blaster

Elites:
x1crisis battle suit with missile pod and burst cannon

x3 stealth suits with burst cannons drone controller and 2 drones

Troops:
x10 fire warriors with pulse rifles

x10 fire warriors with pulse carbines

x15 kroot 1 shaper

Fast attack:
x5 pathfinders 2 with rail rifles and devilfish transport

x1 piranha with fusion blaster and drones

Heavy support

Well I will recommand a few thing, but I will keep it general since i don't know what you are facing. If you would be so kind as to enlighten us with your usual enemy this would be much appreciated.

But off the top of my head here goes:

- 6+ kroot hound (to imporve the CC value of your kroot)
- Sniper drone squad (Those are just a loads of fun and are quite tough. Have more then 1 team and they are fielded seperately on the board so your enemy must split their firepower to get rid of them)
- Skyray (I good tank and when you buy it you have all the bits for the hammerhead...2 tank for the price of 1)

With that stealth squad you either need to add one more gundrone or upgrade one to team leader. The support system rules for the squad are the reason.

Ah, my mistake. Hammerheads are good all round units, as are skyrays. Sniper drones look good on paper, I haven't used them yet so I can't tell you if they are or not. Maybe more piranhas and fire warriors, crisis suits are good flexible models.

Ah, just so you know, one word posts are considered spam. Broadsides can be quite good, I never had much luck with them, but other people on here have. And the extra railguns are always good, since you get 2 for the price of a tooled up hammerhead with change.

his list is very mobile, as such I think I'd advise against broadsides or sniper drones. I think I'd go with another pulse rifle fire warrior squad and another devil fish to compliment the forces you have chosen so far.

Another piranha so that you don't have 2 drones counting as a kill point (this really irks me about 5th ed).

a hammer head. make it with interchangeable weapons so you can experiment with the different loadouts until you find one you like.

Any of those would make a good addition to your current army in my humble opinion.

First get a at least one more crisis suit to fill up your last elite though I would get 2 more and fill out the crisis team, next I would definitely get, based one your list needs, 2 Broadsides or one Hammerhead (with SMS of course Never leave home with out mine, also be sure to buy a Skyray gotta love the lil conversions, buildings, and generally a fun time with lil wings...) lastly get one more piranha with FB to fill up your last FA spot!
