Default need help killing those Orks!!

G'day was having some trouble against some orks mainly Boyz and a weird boy, Lootas and Ghazghkull(as of yet i havnt found a viable way of killing him), could I get any tips for my list?

HQ:
Shas’O’R’myr (160pts)

- Dbl Barreled Plasma Rifle, Shield Generator, Fletchet Discharger, Ejector System, Hw Target Lock

Elites:
Stealth Team (90pts)

3x Shas’ui - Burst Cannon

Troops:
Firewarrior Team (110pts)

10x Shas’la - Pulse Carbine, Photon Grenades

Troops:
Kroot Carnivore Squad (70pts)

10x Kroot -

Fast Att:
Piranha TX-42 Team (85pts)

1x TX-42 - TL Fusion Blaster, Decoy Launchers

Fast Att:
Pathfinder Team (96pts)

8x Shas’la – Pulse Carbine, Markerlight
Devilfish (120pts)
- Targeting Array, Decoy Launchers, Multi-tracker, Smart Missile System

hammer heads make the world easier. More firewarriors make the world easier. Burst cannons, flamers, cyclic ion blasters, missilepods.

Against Orks quantity rather than quality is more important. So you should be looking at lots of Fire Warriors and Burst Cannons. Only pack high powered weaponry like the Plasma Rifle if you know you've got Meganobz to contend with.

When they recommend the Hammerhead, they mean the submunitions rather than the Instagib gun. You want to pie plate Orks, not turn one into fine mist. With it's Strength and AP and the amount of bodies he'll have on the table you should be able to drop at least five with every shot.

Whats the point limit for the game, 750? That would help a lot for tweaking the list.

But from what you have posted:

HQ:
Shas’O’R’myr (160pts)
- Dbl Barreled Plasma Rifle, Shield Generator, Fletchet Discharger, Ejector System, Hw Target Lock

Not sure how close you want to get with they guy even with a FD since there will be many Orks piling on you in assault. IMO not the most useful configuration/battlesuit to us against Orks.

Fast Attack:
Piranha TX-42 Team (85pts)
1x TX-42 - TL Fusion Blaster, Decoy Launchers

A regular Piranha with Burst Cannons would work so much better in general against Orks the Railrifles don't really mean much since they have 5+ saves mostly.

Fast Att:
Pathfinder Team (96pts)
8x Shas’la – Pulse Carbine, Markerlight
Devilfish (120pts)
- Targeting Array, Decoy Launchers, Multi-tracker, Smart Missile System

Can be an up side or a down. If they get caught in CC they're goners. But the Warfish works well against Orks. This is an expensive unit to field even in a 1000 point game let alone anything under that.

how the heck do you get a flechette discharger on a crisis suit?

also, take hammerheads with railguns

Sorry about the vagueness of my post so here goes nothing
Points Limit 750

i like pulse rifles:
Pulse Rifles it is. In hind sight carbines were a foolish choice.

Trance Circus:
Plasma Rifle is the only thing that realy manages to get any damage on Ghazghkull though. I was thinking that if i managed to kill him i could use SHAS'O R'MYR to double plasma then assault any lootas that managed to escape the pulse rounds, i mean 2 shots @ Bs5 Str6 aswell as 4 CC hits @Ws4 Str5 then orks try to return the favour and bam every ork that tries to hit me is hit wounded on a 4+ before resolving its attacks.

I wanted to use him as a long range suit against Ghazghkull (and any truks the he might sneak in at the last moment)
and then when he became rundant use him as a makeshift Ninja'O.
TX-42:
I am realy reluctant to use the regular Piranha, how about this one then.

Pathfinder and Devilfish:
Was very iffy on them anyway, Now im thinking
Heavy:

Oh yeah, I forgot about Ghazghkull. Okay, use R'myr to hunt him then. That is a good idea. Although a couple of Plasma Rifle/Fusion Blaster/Multi-tracker suits might do the job better. You just need to make sure that the rest of your army is slaughtering Orks otherwise when they reach you, you're dead. Assuming you're playing 4th Ed.

Just a bit of friendly advice:

GET THE RULES FOR R'MYR OUT OF THAT POST.

It's illegal for them to be on the site, points cost and all, so remove it =) Most people here do know who R'myr is and his rules anyway. If they don't, just say "He's an Imperial Armour special character" because that clearly shows how he manages to have a Flechette Discharger on his battlesuit and shows where they can find the rules.
