Default 1500pt Forgotten Tau of N'Draas

Hey all,

This is my first list for the Tau with the new codex. I'll be posting pics of the force later but in te mean time I'm looking for some advice on the list. I want to have a well rounded meq. list that could deal with most things thrown at it. I'm still not sure on how to fill the last 156 points. I have a few options, let me know what you think.

HQ
Shas'el Commander
PR, MP, Shield Generator, Hardwired MT
107pts

ELITE #1
3 Crisis Suits
PR, MP, MT
186pts

ELITE #2
3 Crisis Suits
PR, MP, MT
186pts

ELITE #3
3 Stealth Suits
90pts

TROOPS
12 Fire Warriors mounted in Fish
Disruption pod, Multi Tracker, Decoy Launchers
220pts

TROOPS
12 Fire Warriors mounted in Fish
Disruption pod, Multi Tracker, Decoy Launchers
220pts

HEAVY
Railhead
Disruption Pod, MT, Decoy Launchers, TL
185pts

HEAVY
Ionhead
Disruption Pod, MT, Decoy Launchers, TL
150pts

Total Points = 1344

So I have 156 points left to spend and I have a few options that I was thinking of. I think I need a little bit more armour busting power, but i want to maintain high mobility.

2 Piranhas
Fusion Blaster, Disruption Pod, Targeting Array
150pts

- OR -

Maxed out Broadside

- OR -

Should I beef out the units that i have....such as make my stealth team have 6 instead of three? Or perhaps take out he ionhead and replace it with another rail?

Let me know what you think...any advice is more than welcome.

All and all I say your list doesn't look bad. I would consider beefing up your stealth suits though. In my experience (at least against the guys I play) three stealth suits are not going to survive long without cover. I usually put some drones in with them. Also I would consider some variety in my crisis teams. The fireknife is relyable but don't get locked into using it all the time.
Check out what they are capable of in the other posts.

Have you thought of using kroot? Would you consider pathfinders? 156pts could get you two cheap Broadsides, but I think you've got a lot of points invested in heavy support already(for this point level).

Anyway that's my opinion...

I would beef us some of the units you have here now. But first I would take up one Piranha as a tank hunter unit with a Fusion Blaster, Targeting Array and Fletchette Dischargers (80pts total). And before you go saying "Flechette Dischargers? Why?"; for some reason, my tanks end up in more close combat then my suits do and giving out wounds on the charging unit is amazing. (I'd suggest it for other tanks as well, but have other ideas.)

Maybe take a Iridium Armour on your 'El, making him harder to kill. Yes, his movment in assault is sacrifised, but I think it's worth it. (Maybe ignore this for more Flechette Dischargers on your Devilfish.)

Try taking Smart Missile Systems on your Devilfish and a Target Lock. It'll make the FoF tactic more useful.

I'm almost tempted to tell you to drop the Stealth Suits, but I really like them. Maybe up-grade one to have a Fusion Blaster and become a Tank/High-Value-Target Hunter. But I do have to agree with them not surviving very long if the enemy desides to actually fire at them. But they become a big threat when ignored.

If you take all this, it'll leave you with 4 pts left over. And you only need to get one new model and maybe a little conversions.
