I have just been informed that you cannot have a drone controller without also bringing along at least one drone. So, i made some changes!

A good list, if you're fighting MEQs, just break the two Deathrains into separate units. Always (unless you're playing CoD chaos cultists sniper rules) break your suits into as many units as possible.

Any particular reason why you have a squad of 2 Deathrains when you can still divide them up? 3 monats will be more flexible.

I made one of the squads a two man deathrain team so they could benefit from the same markerlight. That way, in order to counter my army's lack of shots, I can make SURE that they almost all hit. 4 str7 ap4 shots at BS5 and being TL will put a hurt on any infantry squad I think, especially those in combat patrol. My list only has 2 markerlights. Depending on the situation, I will boost either the BS of the 2-man deathrain squad or the sniper drone teams (depending which infantry squad I am targetting).
Think like this; I plan to focus most of my shots at the same thing/unit each turn. The 2-man deathrain squad will weaken up the squad, if not destroy it, and the sniper drones will have an easier time pinning/mopping them up. Is my reasoning too situational? Is it really ALWAYS better to have more squads?

Helping a Deathrain squad would aid 4 shots. 4 BS4 twin-linked shots. Helping another squad, say, Fire Warriors, helps 8-16 BS3 shots. Twin-linked BS4 is already better than BS5, there will be little help there, but helping the Fire Warriors in this example, they make much more out of it because of the non twin-linked BS3 weapons. Helping the suits boosts their accuracy by 6%, whereas the Fire Warriors get a 33% boost. Chuck in the greater number of shots, and the Fire Warriors get many more to wound rolls than the Crisis Suits would have gained.
As I've seen many people say, BS5 twin-linked is overkill. |

Well this list was designed to take out mostly a nid player friend of mine who uses warriors as his main source of synapse. Now does this list seem a little more feasible?

yeah, it fair enough for a nid who fields warriors, but its not really the best list you can get for fighting many differant armies.

It is a take all comers combat patrol list, but the primary target was getting rid of those warriors. I figure against any other army, focused fire will be enough, to at LEAST force a few tests.

I would say leave the list the way it is, and try it out. If you find that you don't need to boost the BS of the pair of Deathrains then split them up. I'd probably use the marker hits for the snipers rather than the the Deathrains, as they already have a good chance of hitting.
Have you considered a Thunderrain? Team leader, TLMP, AFP, HWMT = 78 points. He is a monster in combat patrol, and can wipe out whole Tyranid squads. Last game I used him he took out 5 genestealers in one round. I always bring a suit like that. |
