hey this is my very first tau army list compriseing all my tau models*except gun drones* let me know if this a reasonable list for a tau beginner too use

looks like a nice little team, it is fairly well rounded and could do some damage. I've added a few comments in the objective of helping you.

Personally I would say drop the bonding knife on your XV-8 Commander unless you plan to have him always with a fire Warrior team.

As for the ethereal he's a nice touch, try to keep him out of harms way though.

12 with 6 with pulse rifles 6 pulsecarbines 130pts

Give your shas'ui (is there only 1 (in which case your 2nd team is only 120 points) or both team has one) a bonding knife, it will be a lot more effevctive here. I would recommend either giving the second team 12 pulse rifle (preferably) or 12 pulse carbines (really better for a 3rd team). Rifle is good for shooting, carbine for assaulting: a mix squad isn't really good at either.

Give him a targeting array (BS+1) make him a shas'vre and give him Hardwired target lock. He should be a bit more effective this way (and not really all that much more expensive).

Personally, I would combine these 2, but that's more of a personal preferences. They look good.

Give him at least a decoy launcher...and maybe a flechette discharger.

mmm, this squad is in fact 189 points.
Well the krootox takes away your infiltration capability, so if you are willing to lose this advantage it,s a nice little squad. If possible I'd recommend 6 hounds for counter assault.

I would recommended 1 or 2 more piranhas...maybe with fusion blaster for more anti-tank power.

ill take your advice bud,i cant add another 2 pirahnas as i dont have any more yet,and yeah the 2nd firewarrior team has a shas'ui,so should i take the krootox away if i can get some hounds ill add em in

Well like I said it depends on whether you want to infiltrate or not. Keep in mind that infiltration unit are fielded last after everyone (where as troop is about half-way through) so sometimes it's good to have that option.

If you can get a few more kroot (try Ebay it's great, I found a seller who would sell individual kroot for about 2USD) you can do as I do somwtimes

cool i think i have another 4-5 kroot needing built that i can add too make 2 squads
