Elite: XV8 twin linked missile pods, flamer.
Elite: 4 XV15. Elite: 4 XV15. Troops: 6 Fire warriors with pulse rifles. Troops: 8 Human Auxiliaries with laz guns. The XV8 is on light vehicle detail, the flamer may come in handy vs light troops in cover, but this role is secondary. The XV15's are hopefully going to use jsj and high rate of fire to finish off infantry one squad at a time without taking too many losses. The fire warriors will be used as snipers in an elevated location with cover. The Humans are 48 points of distraction ,with minimal effect in rapid fire range, they will be used as bait. I am also considering : Elite: 3 XV15 Elite: 3 XV15 Elite: 3 XV15 Troops: 8 fire warriors Troops: 8 Human Auxiliaries Same tactics as above without the XV8, and FW may be equipped with carbines to keep them mobile. Please let me know which list you think is better and why? If you don't like either, tell me why and what you would do differently.

Hmm.... I don't know how your opponent would feel if you brought that many suits in. I remember a battle where I had a squad of Deathrain suits and a squad of Stealth Suits and by the end of turn two, I completely annihilated his army. And this was in a Combat Patrol too. The list might be viewed as powergaming. But if that doesn't matter to you, then I would go with list 1, the Deathrain suit will be able to help with the antitank.

Thanks for the advice. It was impossible to find anyone interested in combat patrol because of the restrictions on composition so I have expanded the list to 500 points following the standard FOC. Here it is:
HQ: shas'el: twin linked missile pods, fusion blaster, HW multitracker Elite: 4 XV15 Elite: 4 XV15 Troops: 12 firewarriors: Pulse rifles Troops: 9 human aux: flashlights Total points: 499 Total minis: 30 C&C Welcome. It may be a little cheesy but I have 10 xv15's, 10 humans, and a newly acquired box of tau fw's ( I love the trading board) I would only have to purchase 1 suit to build the army. I'm pretty sure heavy armor will be a big challenge. I hope I don't see more than the 'el can handle at 500 points.

If you do, you also have 24 5/5 shots that can get at the rear armor. I'd take off the Fusion Blaster though, as I generally try not to get that close. But if you can make it work, go right on ahead and use it. Or you can give him a flamer and use the points to give one of the teams a Fusion Blaster, to distribute the anti-tank firepower. But it's all your show.

That's not a bad idea! Fusion in one of the stealth teams would help to spread out the big guns. I don't like to have all of my eggs in one basket.
The flamer would be good for cities of death, which is what this army will see most often. But isn't flamer range way too close for a crisis suit? I had considered the flamer as an option when I was writing the list but chickened out.
