well i just registered and posted on the intro page, so i was hoping i could get some helpful hints from other tau players who are almost assuredly better than myself. i am going to post my army in microsoft excel format which is gonna show up kinda weird but the basic format is

well the only thing in this list that i think should be change is that the Stealth Team should drop the marker light coz it slows down the team as thay cant move and fire with it

Looks good but a few surgestions:

Commander: Why 2 markerdrones for your commander? I think the two drones would be of better use by the two stealth teams. The drones have networked markelights and the units would gain more from the drones that your commander would.

Elite: stealth teams. There is always the question if you should take 1 team of 6 suits or two teams of 3 suits. If you loose one suit in a three suit team you will have to roll for leadership (25% rule)

Troops: usually I think more than 150 points a troop choice is too much (but thats my personal opinion) you have picked the HW multi-tracker and the markerlight. Is it because you want to fire the markerlight and your rifle in the same turn? I don't know if you can do that? anyone know?

Fast attack: consider to include some pathfinders. Rail rifles and markerlights go very well together.

Heavy support: Consider picking a sniper team when fighting a lot of infantry. again: Rail rifles and markerlights go very well together.

well yeah i was trying to get the markerlight and rifles on my team leaders to fire at the same time. the drones where to mark more things up, i had the sky rays for a total of 12 missles to shoot so i figured more lights means more killy but again i havent played a day in my life. some of my crisis suits have flammers, thats my anti infantry, not to mention the air-bursting frag projector on one of my crisis suits. i dont really know if all of this is good or not, i really can only guess, so i am hoping you guys can keep spreading some of the greater good my direction thanks again guys.

FINALLY! someone else who understands the benefits of markerligts! 7 shots normally but with a pair of long range fusion blasters at no penalty. Also, you could trade those shots for any other markerligt benefits. this makes a unit with these a very good support unit. I prefer a shas'vre monat with a flamer, airburst, irdium armor and a HW drone controller with 2 marker drones. this makes a good unit who can just hang around enemy lines using the templates and lighting up key targets.

Drop da drones! Not only do they remove IC status, they need to be stationary.
Also, are the TL Missile pods doing so well? I would drop one for a plasma rifle. This way, you can hunt transports, infantry, and heavy infantry!

A... bodyguard? Gasp! Um, you prbably want to delete these and replavce with 2x Helios suits as elites. (Fusion + plasma)

My complaint is the amount of firewarriors. Trim some of them and give an existing squad a Devilfish. Your Devilfish squad should have 10 plain members.

You are also weak on anti-tank, but I'm sure you knew that.

well the broadsides should make up some anti tank power and i thought that 12 hunter missles would nuke any other heavy armor unit, im prolly wrong, but what i want to know then is, what are hunter missles good for? if they dont pop tanks what do they do?

poping transports. that is what I do with mine. a volly of missles destroyes the transport followed by a submunition to take out whatever was in it.

Dont drop the markerlights. Markerlights are very very good in my opinion. Suddenly you hit everything. I love the way the drone sniperteams take out 3 SM in one turn.. that really hurts... and when your 70 point Broadside suddenly has BS5 and turns a landwarrior into a swishcheese.
