I've got a 1200 point Cities of Death game coming up on Thursday and I've made two different lists. I'm not sure which one to use. Any feedback and/or criticism would be much appreciated.
I haven't played in about a month so I'm a bit rusty, however I'm eager to spill blood on Medusa V. Let's just try to make sure it's not my troops doing the bleeding! Without further ado here's the two lists: List the First Shas'el w/ fusion blaster, plasma rifle, targeting array, hard wired multi tracker 97 2 Battle suits w/ twin-linked plasma rifles, targeting arrays 130 4 Stealth Suits w/ team leader, bonding knife 130 10 Firewarriors w/ shas'ui Devilfish w/ Smart Missile System, Decoy launchers, targeting array, multi tracker 230 10 Firewarriors w/ shas'ui Devilfish w/ Smart Missile System, Decoy launchers, targeting array, multi tracker 230 12 Kroot 84 Hammerhead w/ rail gun, 2 burst cannons, multi tracker, decoy launchers 165 Hammerhead w/ Ion cannon, 2 burst cannons, multi tracker, decoy launchers 130 List the Second Shas'el w/ fusion blaster, plasma rifle, targeting array, hard wired multi tracker 97 2 Battle suits w/ twin-linked plasma rifles, targeting arrays 130 2 Battle suits w/ twin-linked missile pods, flamers 94 4 Stealth Suits 120 10 Firewarriors w/ shas'ui Devilfish w/ Smart Missile System, Decoy launchers, targeting array, multi tracker 230 10 Firewarriors w/ shas'ui Devilfish w/ Smart Missile System, Decoy launchers, targeting array, multi tracker 230 Hammerhead w/ rail gun, 2 burst cannons, multi tracker, decoy launchers 165 Hammerhead w/ Ion cannon, 2 burst cannons, multi tracker, decoy launchers 130

Myself I would probably go with the second one as I love Crisis suits, best unit Tau have without a doubt. also good in a city fight environ with the flamers. BUT the first list would be good against an opponent that has infiltrate. Depends on the environment your in. |

I would prefer the 2nd, as I don't like kroot as much as others. Plus, 2 Deathrain suits never hurt anyone... wait... never mind.. there go a couple enemy vehicles....

D'Oh!
Wish I'd seen those comments before I left the house this morning. I went for the first list (and therefore left my deathrains on the kitchen table). Two reasons I went for it though. 1) I think two infiltraiting units in city fight could be MASSIVLEY USEFUL! 2) Bonded stealth suits that only cease to be a scoring unit when they're all dead ;D I'll let people know how I do tonight...

Just a quick update for anyone who cares.
I had two CoD games with the first list yesterday. The first one was against a Terminator/scout list. 3 units of termies, 2 units of scouts and a seige dreadnought! We didn't have to finish the game so it was a tie, but I think I had a good chance to win it since I'd killed about 10/16 terminators. The second game was against and armoured company! YIKES! I really wished I had the deathrains with me as the game started and he dropped FOUR leman russes. Especially when I found out they had side armour 13 because of their "Side Skirts" (what kinda tank wears a skirt!) The game was tough to start, especially with my Rail head imobilized on turn 1, but once i got some guys behind his tanks I killed most of them and he didn't get any of the objectives, so it was a win for me. Next week since the games are 1300 points I'll use the first list AND the deathrains. I'm looking forward to it.
