500pt Tau Tourny list
Alright, I'm entering a 40k ladder league and to find out my starting tier I participate in a tourny.
The tourny rules are as follows: -500pts -min 1 troops choice - 0-1 HQ, HQ's wargear must be less than 50pts. - No model with more than 3 wounds -No model with 2+ save -Vehicles must be less than 200pts. With that in mind here's my list: Shas'el, PR, MP, Shield Generator, HWMT - 110 Hammerhead, SMS, railgun, MT, Target Lock, Decoy Launchers - 180 10 FW - 100 11 FW - 110 Total - 500 ALL advice is welcome

Hammer head, SMS railgun, MT, TL, DL. 180
6 fire warriors devilfish, DL,MT,TL 160 6 fire warriors devilfish, DL,MT,TL 160 total, 500 points. it will be near imposible to kill that in a 500 point list with the rules u stated, just pick off the one tank they use, if any, or anything else that has STR 5 or higher. once u do that u win. keep the troops back, and blast with the HH frm its 72" at anything that can kill u. then just ordanance and sned in ur troops.

I like the Devilfish idea but I only have one devilfish. I might try to fight it in though.

just buy another, what are they? they 45 dollars here, how many pounds is that? either way, buy another devilfish, u will need them if u will ever play mech, and even if u dont ittl help u tons

You seem to be under the impression that I have money :P It takes me about 2 months to save the cash for a devilfish. So any advice that doesn't involve another devilfish?

Well, Your battlesuit is going to be in the battle more considering the count of models you have, so i think that would need the S, Gen and i think your army is fine.
If you dont use your suit up field then i would drop the gen and then add 2 more FW`s ReApEr

I think only the hardwired multitracker goes towards wargear, since the PR, MP, and Shield generator aren't from the armoury.
