Actually you don't need to take an inquisitor to take the regular assasin just death cult. What type of armies do you face?

Ah no.

You must have an Inquisitor to take any of the four assasin houses. Check your Daemonhunter codex again.

Probably. Before the Daemonhunters codex came out you would ahve been correct, no Inquisitor needed. However since the codex came out you now need to have it as a dynamic duo in order to field an assasin. Course, depends on where you are. Our store use to for the longest time allow it as it was before Daemonhunters....provided you had the assasin codex.

I wouldn't necessarily see an inquisitor as a waste of points...but I would see a tooled up inquisitor AND an assassin in a space marine army as CHEESE! ;D

Actually, most effective Inquisitor I have ever heard of had no gear at all! ;D

The Chaos player didn't ask what all he ahd and kept haivng his Deamon Prince run away from the inquisitor, who kept chasing him. It was only int he last turn of the game taht he attakced the Iquisitor and found out e only ahd the armour he came with.

I was thinking of taking a naked inquisitor to allow me access to the assassins, and I also guessed that he would draw fire just sitting on the board edge or in cover close to my deployment because most of the people I play would expect me to be up to something with him Probly going to try this now, naked inquisitors v's the armies of the universe!

really?? cos i always saw assassins as kinda weak...i mean, i know they sound scary, but they're really not that special...tho a tooled up inquisitor could do some serious damage to the right unit
