Wont the assault squad get stuck on anything with a 3+ save? And woudent a chaplain with jumppack attatched to the assault marines do more carnage then that captain?

wow havent seen many people bring a vindicator to a 750 point battle. I like the list. not to cheesy, not to bland. But i think the vindicator is a little to much for 750 points. Maybe go for a dread with LC, ML combo

If they jump in alone. I'm not planning on getting them there before the others, just have something that can jump into the backfield and kick a little booty

Is this for the thing where you were talking about having a 750 point battle with a bunch of friends or was that someone else? Also get rid of the Krak grenades. there S6 is almost useless. if you have enough points add a power weapon to the sarge of the assault squad

It's me. Carnage is one table and up to 5 players. All trying to capture the objective by the last turn. Thus the name carnage. Much killing, much moving.

Now I get it. Then it looks good. Would have been nice with one or more extra power weapons to negate though saves in close combat but I donīt see where you would get the points from.

It's a good list Wanax, it has variety, power and mobility.

In making this for a Carnage-style game, I think I would agree with the prior recommendation of including a dreadnought. If you field a squad of Devastators, they will too far in the back field and unable to lend support in the last turn charge to the objective. Now whether you use a regular Assault Cannon / Powerfist configuration, or go completely shooty with a Hellfire Configuration, it will still give you a 12/12/10 armored beast in hand to hand at the final push. And since that thing counts as 10 models by himself, it'll help push enemies off the objective in the hand to hand phase as well.

Yeah, unless you play against a lot of armor heavy players, I'd ditch the krak grenades on the Assault Marines. Str 6 is too weak to do any real damage to a medium to light armored vehicle. See if you can squeeze in points for an upgraded Vet. Sarge with a powerfist. That way you have a 7 marine meat shield and will still allow that Assault Vet. Sarge to swing his Str. 8 powerfist 3 - 4 times each turn he's in. Good against armor, good against opponent's big bad models.

Also, give your Commander frag grenades. While I don't condone paying the points for full squads to have them, You really don't want an Init 5 power claw wielding bad-@ss to go last when he has to charge a unit holding the objective in cover. Nothing says: PWN3D better than to lose your Commander to a Powersword in the face because ya didn't buy the frags for him.

The Vindicator is just an awesome choice. That will definitely instill the fear of The Emperor. Opponents will think twice to piling on all their units near the objective with a street sweeper of a tank like that. (I have two in my standard Black Templar lists)
