hi i just wounder how many dreads u can have in a 1500points sm army? plz answer

this is usually restricted by the FOC

i dunno what the are classified as (either HS or elites) but u can only have 3 elites and 2 HS

They are Elites so you can have three at most. Four if your using Space Wolves and take a venerable dread which is a HQ choice.

You can have 3 max in any sized force. It is an Elite, and not as good as Terminators in my opinion. And, just for future, you can have 3 HS, not 2.

heh, i'd prefer a dread to a termie squad any day...they're like half the points, every bit as tough, and can do a surprising amount...

They are wear a big target on them and can not be mounted in transport and scooted across battlefield.

Dreadnoughts available are:
STANDARD MARINES: 3 (Elites).
SPACE WOLVES: 4 (Elites + 1 HQ).
BLOOD ANGELS: 6 (Elites + Heavy Support).

Everyone else is probably 3...

however, the moment you have terminators and a transport for 'em in the one place, you have an even BIGGER shoot me sign in the one place...generally at least 500 pts worth...dreads may say shoot me, but at least they're cost effective and can be walked across the board more successfully...
