Here's the spear head force army list

Commander Stoic

HQ
captain with power weapon, bolt pistol & purity seals

Troops
Field command > tactical squad
Sgt + 5 marines
plasma gun & rocket launcher

Pack worriers > scouts
Sgt + 4 scouts
Frag + kark Grenades & Purity seals

Pack hunters > scouts
Sgt + 6 scouts
bolters + Rocket launchers

War brothers > Devastor squad
Sgt + 6 marines
2 heavy bolters & 1 Rocket launcher

War brothers > Devastor squad
Sgt + 6 marines
2 heavy bolters & 1 Rocket launcher

High Brothers > Elite Devastor squad
Sgt + 6 marines
tank hunters
2 rocket launchers & 1 heavy bolter

ever unit has Infiltrate rule

Total 949

what else could I fit in?

This is the counter strike force I.e with players permission would be held as revers other wise deployed at the same time as the rest of the army.

HQ
Lupus de Ceyl > Codicier
Force weapon, combat shield, bolt pistol, Fear of the dark & a Familiar (see bottom)

Field command > Tactical squad
Sgt + 4 marines
Heavy bolter

Pack hunters > scouts
Sgt + 8 scouts
Sniper rifles + heavy bolter *Sgt modeled with bolter

Techpiest Fluxatyin > Dreadnought
Assult cannon, heavy flamer & Dreadnought Fist


I now have 50 points to play with what changes would you recamend?

please use spellcheck... i personally think the list is a bit cheesy and what are rocket launchers??? i take that you mean missile launchers,

what do you mean??? your going to deep strike them? well you dont need players permission if you have them in drop pods...

Sorry I must explane it better the first force is the main army while the second is there to mop up the rest if needed I'm trying to take on as mush as possible with as little as possible.

As for the Counter strike force there to come on to the Field from my side of the board.

I say Rocket because missile has the word "MISS" in it. I'm very superstitious

& in what way is it CHEESY? >

sorry, the idea of 3 devastator squads infiltrating is a bit "cheesy" to me, but hey, it helps you win games.

I could have 6 with 4 heavy weapons in each. What I'm doing is very risky thinning out my troops over the battle Field if i don't make enough hits I'm done for fullstop.

why?? if they start closer to the enemy, its gonna be easier for the enemy to get their combat squads in the thick of them...personally, i give the guy credit for his stones...maybe not his intelligence, but hey :P

and as for those 50 pts...maybe a combat shield and plasma pistol for your force commander?? i mean, you've got the points, so you might as well use 'em. and i'm also not so keen on the mixing up of weaponry in dev squads...altho i suppose it can have its advantages, given that they're quite small in size...as for a few more points to waste, that dread is begging you for smoke and extra armour

ok thats 8pts on the deadnought. plasma pistols are a waste of time. maybe an auspex in every squad > or a heavy weapon or two..
