Title pretty much says it all. Can the Techmarine with your Thunderfire Cannon take a couple of servitors?
Seems like it would be a good cheap way to add a couple of wounds to the unit so that it sticks around long enough to lay down some significant firepower. |

It isn't an option for it, so no.
Its an artillery model, i dont think any artillery units throughout the races can increase group size.

hmm.. well im not aware of any other artillary unit that comes with an elite IC choice either.
Thats where it gets confusing. It says that every TFC is crewed by a techmarine, and directs you to the tech marine page for special rules. Then it says that the Techmarine doesnt benefit from the IC and Blessing of Omnissiah rules unless the cannon is destroyed. It doesnt say anything in there about the servitors thing. Of course..on page 71, where it describes the Techmarine...it says nothing about taking servitors. That isnt actually explained until you get to the army list, and the techmarine entry under elites, where it says that you may include one unit of Servitors for every Techmarine or Master of the Forge in your army. The confusing part i guess is that it says "for every techmarine in your army".. and the TFC comes with a techmarine. But I suppose since it doesnt state in the Army list's TFC entry that it can take servitors, then that means it isnt allowed. Shame... it would make the TFC a much more useful unit imo. |

You can indeed TAKE servitors as a unit, but not part of the T-Cannons unit.
The servitors are not included in the T-Cannons profile, so no go on being same unit. But once the T-cannon is destroyed the T Marine can join the Servitors

I think the servitors can still sit around the TF cannon in order to not suffer brain lock, the rule just says they have to start their turn within X inches of a techmarine right? Or does it actually require the tech to join their unit?
