Default Quick question quick answer, rapid fire plasma?

So when a 1 is rolled to hit with plasma, it hurts the firer. When the soldier rapid fires, and one 1 is rolled, and the other isn't, does the second shot still fire off?

Yep, because "All shots are fired simo" and "You must fire at full effect"

So 2 shots can cause 2 1s, and you'd have to save against both, but (unless it's a 2 wound model) it can only survive 1 failure and the wounds don't move to someone else, the firer must take them.

1 1 and 1 3 (assuming a regular marine) can kill both the firer, and a target...seen it happen, it's actually really awesome when you kill some Eldar Lord this way.

If you roll a 1 then the firer must take an armour save if failed they die or lose a wound, instant kill counts towards this. If you rapid fire and roll a 1 and the right number so it hits then the one that hit fires off but you still take an armour save for the 1 you rolled.

If you roll two 1's then i assume you roll for two armour saves.

Instant Death does not apply. A T3 two-wound model with a Plasma Gun only takes one wound from overheating. The "wound" doesn't really have a Strength and it isn't an attack.

Yes. The entry for Gets Hot! (page 31) states specifically that "For each result of a 1 rolled on its to hit rolls, the firing model suffers a wound...". Thus, rolling two 1s results in the need for two armour saves.
