Default Blood Angels 1000 pts

All right so im trying to come up with a definite army list for my blood angels. Im mostly playing tau. Any help is appreciated!

1000 Pt Blood Angels
HQ
Chaplain-181
Bolt pistol
rhino

Troops
Tac Squad Alpha-160
8 bolters
1 ccw and bolt pistol
1 meltagun

Tac Squad Beta-160
8 bolters
1 ccw and bolt pistol
1 with meltagun

Scout Squad-113
5 snipers
1 m.launcher

Fast Attack-252
Assault Squad
9 ccw and bolt pistol
1 vet sarge with power fist

Heavy Support-130
Predator Destructer
Side lascannons
Extra Armour

Im not sure about the scout squad. I got it for free at my store from some guy. I was thinking about taking that and the meltaguns out and adding rhinos. Any suggestions will be very appreciated.

No death company?, Thats Blood Angels Best unit. and aren't they Manditory?

Not to my knowledge but I know nothing of Blood Angels other than a couple times I ahve faced one army.

I dont really put them in my army lists as they arent really a defined unit. You just roll for each unit and depending on your roll you take a certain amount of guys from the unit and make them dc.

you points are off my friend. I suggest you download the Blood Angels FAQs for Chaplain prising and what not. and you'll have a sizeable Death Company, so I wouldn't suggest a Rhino.

As for those Tactical sqads, either give them some long-range firepower like a Missile launcher, or mount them. a foot-slogging Tactical squad with no means of answering long-range attacks is just free points for the enemy. In this case, I would lose the Predator Destructor and the Scout Squad. If you must use a Chaplain at this level, then I would definitely tell you to mount your "assaulty" tactical marines. There is also another option however. Blood Angel Scout Squads. if you play at the Gamma level, then you can always go and infiltrate them close to the enemy. then in your turn, pop them out of cover and stall the enemy until your assault Squad and assorted power armoed goodness come rolling in.

Where can i find the faqs? They're not on the gw site. And for the army list.

Your answer confuses me. But i tried the best i could. So i added rhinos, gave my chaplain a jump pack, but had to sacrifice 1 member of the assault squad. And why would i want to take out my tank?

i play blood angels and have a 3700 point army.

i think the chaplain is a good choice for the HQ. (you get the death company with him anyway, any extras that come from rolling for each unit joins this squad too.)

i assume you own a copy of the BloodAngels codex?

I agree with Commandernight stalker in that you should have a long range weapon such as a missile launcher.
however, not in one of the squads you currently have; as this would prevent them from moving. obviously this is not good as you excel in close combat.

i suggest keeping the current list and adding another tactical squad of five men, basically armed other than the one missile launcher. this would be good for the long range role and also assault backup.
This would add up to 1014 points though, so you would have to compromise something to do so.

Drop the rhinos and get more jump packs, thats the BA strength.

If you want a mechanized SM force go Space wolf.
