I decided to get back in 40k after playing a Battletech campaign and I decided to do my SM army on Blood Ravens. So far I have two tactical squads and a Dreadnought. Anyone have any suggestions?

Assault on Black Reach is a great buy, and the Battleforce is always a good starting place or way to add to a force.

Blood Ravens have lots of psykers, a librarian could be a nice addition as a HQ unit for your force.

As Vash said assault on black reach and the battle force are great places to start, and i strongly suggest a librarian for an HQ provides more ability's then any of the others, easily can toast squads on his own. This is the set up that my librarian uses in my blood ravens army.Upgrade to an Epistolary and use The Gate of Infinity to warp next to a squad then use The Avenger (st 5 ap3 Assault 1 Template) and its on like Donkey Kong! For best results put in a squad with a flamer and just about every thing you get close to should be nice and toasty!
Best of luck on your army! |
