Just wondering if any one knows more about this, I'll post the rules as they appear in the Codex and get your opinions.

From Page 21 of The DH codex:

" In Keeping with the many posiblities for the forces of the Ordo Malleus to appear within Space Marine and imperial forces, Daemonhunters units can be included as allies in any of the following Codex arimes:
-Space Marines, including variant armies such as Blood Angles, Space wolves Dark Angels*, Black Templars, Salamanders and other Loyalist Index Astartes Chapters.
-Imperial Guard and It's variants such as Catachan Jungle Fighters and Armageddon Steel Legion
-Sisters of battle

Nether Inducted Imperial Guard nor allied Space Marines may be included in such a contingent, and the total number of Daemonhunters units chosen may not exceed the following
0-1 HQ
0-1Elites
0-2 Troops
0-1 Fast attack
Note Heavy Support may not be chosen."

it would seem to me that you can take a unit of GKs in a Space Marine force, unless there hase been some errata put out that I don't know about.

Anyways please enlighten me!

You may indeed ally Grey Knights to a Space Marine force using that exact quote you've mentioned.

You cannot however ally Space Marines to a Daemonhunters army already using Grey Knights.

But Grey Knights can be allied to Space Marine armies and often are. A common fluffy thing to do for Blood Ravens players is to take a squad of GKT to represent a squad of Librarians. Were you under the impression that you couldn't ally Knights to a SM force or something?

No, nothing like that. What happened was I posted a list in which included some GKTs , which some one said was not valid because they're friend that was a "Red shirt" said you couldn't.

So I just figured that some errata had come out that I had missed. anyways thanks for the conformation. thought I had lost my mind there for a sec....

Bah Red Shirts don't have a magical "I always know the rules properly" aura, always take what they say with a grain of salt, particularly from a second hand source.

Now maybe some tournaments would dissallow allies but that's different.
