I've been contemplating a second army, and I want them to have a jungle theme. currently, I've been thinking of:
Catachan Imperial Guard (of course) Eldar (sneaky sneaky shooty shooty) Tyranids and lastly Space Marines I've been aquainted with the space marines via when they kill me dead, or I kill them dead. but I don't know their codex and how well talored I can make them for jungle combat (like IG Doctrines). Thoughts oh wise Space Marine players? are there chapters designed for this? I know they aren't environment focused as IG regiments, but I am interested in the idea. |

As far as I know, there aren't any jungle Op'd based space marine chapter(s). But, I do have an idea, why not have an all-scout army? Their special rules I think are ideal if you want a jungle themed space marine army.

I can't really think of a chapter, but I know that I would use Scouts, with the special scout character.
They have Move through cover, and Scout. Combined with some sniper squads, can make for some nice killing. Keep some normal killing marines for the small parts of open ground, for some fields of fire. As support I would suggest Dreads and Annihalators, becuase I cant really think of something other ;D Hope to have helped! -Yummi [edit] Ninja'd!

The movie Reign of Fire as inspiration. ![]() Vehicles, camo and big guns. Dang it, that I'm home for chrismas and no possibility for warhammering :P Oh, well. I like your idea. Makes me think of "Catachan-Marines"

Actually the Raptors are as close to a jungle ops Chapter as you can get. Here's a link to their fluff:

Failing that, while not orientered toward the jungle, you could use Raven Guard. Just make shrikes company. they spent a long time in the jungle fighting orks. They could be a good one, maybe convert a few to look like they are sneaking and stuff.
