i was wondernig how many of each blood claws,grey slayers and or other troops you should have in an army

I believe you mean Grey Hunters, and not Slayers.

Anyways, just like any other army there is no restrictions to how many of what you should have in an army, but the traditional Space Wolves army has more Grey Hunters than Blood Claws, like it says in the codex.

It all depends on what you want. I Grey Hunter and 2 Blood Claw units is very common. or two grey hunter units and a 15man BC pack in a land raider crusader - now there is a beast!

Ideally though, they should be in a ratio of somewhere between 1:2 whether its GH:BC or BC:GH ie, dont take 3 Grey Hunter packs and one blood claw pack!

and roll 1's for armour saves! Its a 500 point risk, but absolutely devestating if it hits home...

whyever not?? its fluffy, and it may just be effective, if you can find the right method of using it

a common balance is 50/50. 2 hunter packs to 2 claw packs. gives a nice median ground, plus a good solid troop base

i ment grey slayers they are 13th company guys

in that case, start with 2 grey slayer packs (IMO 8-man is about optimum), wolf lord and minimum long-fang pack with 2 missile lauchers, then have a poke around the rest of the list to decide what else suits you

personally, i use a list with 2 8-man slayer packs, one wuth 2 plasma, one wiht 2 melta, both with wolf gurad wiht fist, wolf lord with frost blade, bolt pistol, MotW and wolf pelt, accompanied by an 8-man claw bodyguard with 2 fists, and a leader with MotW and lightning claws, plus a wolf priest with herbs and balms leading 12 wolfen and 2 4-man long-fang pack, one wiht 3 missile launchers, one with 3 heavy bolters

I came close to it, he packed a sqaud of them into a Rhino, I got fist turn and nailed it with a broad side first turn, killing the rhino and all the guys inside.

It was no Land Riader, but it felt good.
