OK so we are in the middle of a campaign were you will either be fighting with a 500pt, 1000pt, 1500pt, or 2000pt list.
My 500pt list is Master in Terminator Armour 5 man Scout Squad x 2 Vindicator x 2 One of the people in the game said it was a stupid list, and basicly said I should be ashamed to bring it. I am asking how I should change the list, but rather is he correct, and its bad form on my part to bring this list. Please keep in mind that he plays Eldar and will bring 3 Falcons to a 1500pt game and max out the number of Sat Cannons if he knows he is playing Marines. |

You are either going to annihilate the enemy with those demolisher cannons, or lose your tanks and then the rest of your army is stuffed.
Quite jammy really- only jammier thing you could have done is take a land raider

Well its a horribly imbalanced list that will either kick total arse or get whooped in return. Which outcome depends on your opponent and how you use it.
Its not balanced but they don't have to be. My Tau 400 pt Combat patrol revolved around two 8 man Firewarrior squads each with a Devilfish APC, very difficult for most people to deal with, very unbalanced, but very fun. I'd suggest though dropping the Master for more scouts or something. |

I would suggest swapping the Vindicators for more troops (possibly with heavy weapons) and either a dread (which will probably molested) or Land Speeder(s). That would be kinda hard to deal with...

I completely agree that it will either win big or get the crap kicked out of it.
I also know that it is completely unbalanced, and having more scoring units would benefit me. My only concern was, was this list just over the top cheese, and "why would you even consider playing it" Which it appears to me that the answer is not really. |

Personally I really like taking armies like that, that are unusual and uncommon. Its fun to mix things up every now and then with something unexpected. Only a poor sport of a player would moan about that list. |

Yeah, to be honest, I'd be more worried about how you planned on accomplishing much with that force. You're more or less completely bones in the scoring department with 2 small, easy to kill units and 2 tanks that are ineffective early in the game and likely easily neutralized before they can get into the fight.

Well I played a 500 vs 500 game last night against another Space Marine Army. He had a Captain, Dred, 5 man Scout w/snipers, and 2 6 man taxt squads.
At the end of 5 turns he had the Dred in working condition. I had 1 Vindicator, Master, and 2 scouts from the same squad. Will not say it will happen like this every time, cause dice going either way and the out come would have been completely different. If I had lost the Vindicators early, I would have had nothing to stop him. |
