Default vehicles full movement

ummmm.... ya i guess i missed this in the rule book but how does moving affect a vehicle. people tell me to move my tanks full distance each turn. for rhinos and stuff of that sort its fine, but for vehicles like my vindicator moving=bad. does moving full affect glancing and penetration?

Any answer to that question gives more copywritten information than is healthy to post online. Please read your rulebook, everything you need to know is there in the vehicles section. Particularly moving and shooting. As for vehicle damage, only skimmers have any effects from this because of moving, for Marines that's not the case, moving will primarily effect how many guns the vehicle can shoot, but you really need to look up the specifics yourself.

In *general*, transports will move maximum distance, and pop smoke, screen each other or be behind terrain, and shooty vehicles tend to move only when in imminent danger, or out of targets within range.

Not exactly what you were looking for, but as vash already pointed out, we can't get too much into specific rules on here without invoking GWs copywrite wrath.

It depends. If you want to use it claim an objective, or if it is a transport, then there are definitely reasons to move it as far as possible. And if it is a support vehicle with good position, you may not want to move it at all.

I think moving at full speed makes you harder to shoot at or hit in close combat

Neither actually, please don't make such comments unless you are sure, as they just add to the confusion. Moving at all makes a vehicle harder to hit in cc, regardless of how far it moves, but please look up the actual rule instead of spreading misinformation.

For the vindicator, as the Demolisher is a Ordanance weapon, you have to roll an extra D6 when rolling the scatter dice when you move.

I'm not sure if im going to prison now :P
I dont know anything about their copyright rules... :
