Default Modeling a dozer blade

So I like having everything my model has, shown on the model. So erm... dozer blades. It's like they can be fitted to just about any space marine vehicle... but how the heck do you model them?

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to see what people use. Scratchbuild them from plasticard?

Check this guy out: http://www.vulkansforge.org/blog.asp

Any clue what he used?

The Forge World dozer blade from the vindicator kit. They're making a plastic one if you want to wait.

IG Rough terrain modifications work pretty nicely too. Though the Forge World ones look sweet.

Heres a link to the FW website. Look about 85% of the way down its labeled as "RHINO DOZER BLADE"

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog...SORIES_29.html

8 euros isnt bad, but if you can wait for the plasic, it will be much cheaper.

No, the Vindicator dozer blade is taller and has a section cut out for the Demolisher cannon barrel; I expect the plastic version will be much the same and therefore unsuitable.

The IG rough terrain modifications Spyder referred to is the dozer blade from the vehicle accessory sprue. It'll suit just fine. If you don't want to get one of the spiffy Forge World Rhino dozer blades then I can supply you with several Imperial Guard dozer blades from my post-armoured-battlegroup bits box. Just PM me your address and I'll pop them in the post for you on Monday.

I tell you what, Tom. You are a great person, always willing to stick his neck out to help other people. It is a crime and a shame that we don't have more people out in the world like you. Anyway, don't stop doing whatever you do to keep you so nice and helpful, because its working!

What a delightful compliment. Thanks!

Oh...yeah it does. What is this from, anyway?

It isn't the vindicator then, but it definately looks like FW. Do they make a rhino dozer blade without the cutout?

Wow dude.., while I don't intend to take advantage of your offer (I live in Taiwan, and the shipping would be more than I could ask), the offer leaves me a tad awestruck. If this hobby has more people like you in it, well, I think I'm going to like it here

Oh, by the way, what Imperial Guard kit do I have to buy if I want some dozer blades?

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I actually figured out how GWs site works. Didn't know some items actually let you order individual sprue.

Another question though, what kit do I need to order from Forgeworld if I want a spiffy FW dozer blade?

I think the sprue comes with every IG tank. It's definately in the chimera box, though.
