Chapter Name: Scorpions of the Aquilla
Emblem: Red Scorpion, poised to strike.
Home World: Unknown (suspected to have been destroyed in a legendary uprising which is recorded in the chapter's librarium.
Current Chapter Master: Grand Scorpion Gabrielle Eternius, the Emperor's Sting
Founding: Most probably a child chapter to the Salamanders
Background: This chapter's history is largely unknown, but what is known is impressive indeed. The Scorpions of the Aquilla are responsible for the destruction of a large array of vital technologies and stracraft owned by the Chaos Space Marine Pirates of the Badab Region, The Lord Scorpion is said to have single handedly destroyed an Ork Killcruzer, after his strike force was entirely wiped out. It seems that the chapter only omit information which will gain them greater reputation with their enemies, and the Inquisition believe this is a tactic they use to create fear in their foes.

Chapter Name: Harbingers Of Vengeance

Emblem: Left swept wing (white) on a burgundy background
World of Origin: Unknown
Background: Largely unknown. The Harbingers are a crusading chapter, operating from their fortress monastery The Fire of Dawn . The chapter recruits from various feudal worlds throughout their area of responsibility, which is currently in the Segmentum Ultima, near the Eastern Fringe, and their heraldry is displayed proudly on their shoulders and shields. They frequently run joint operations with detachments of the Ultramarines chapter's second company against Tau and Chaos forces there. They have been known to operate in the same side as the Tau and Eldar, but only in the direst of circumstances.

The Blood Scars

The Blood Scars are a successor chapter to the White Scars, Blood Angels, and Iron Hands. They are a small chapter of around 300 marines. They are a fast attack chapter, often using tactics such as deep striking bikes into the midst of the enemy, and then massacring what's left with assault squads. Also, due to them being successors to the iron hands, they often have many replaced limbs and implants, many implants used to bettr control their bikes

1) The problem with mixing Gene-Seeds is that they might cause more random mutations (more than it would anyway) and further increase the damage to the organs the gene-seed makes. Not to mention avoid internal factions that identify itself by what gene-seed from what Legion its from as well as the obvious deviancy in their appearance and their organs and whatever else the flaws that come with the Gene-Seed e.g. those with Blood Angel Gene-Seeds would be suffer from the Red Thirst and the Black Rage.
2) Are they always at 300-Strong because of continuous battle or their doctrines dictate it? Because that's very, very small even for a Chapter. Regular SM Chapters is more or less have a 1000 Battle-Brothers. Of course, this depends on their recruitment rate and their casualty rate.
3) Deep-Striking Bikes? How is this achieve? Wouldn't it be the same if they just use Assault Squads instead of Bike Squadrons to Deep-Strike and do the massacring?

Thanks for the count, Narcissius. I intend on renovating this thread very soon, removing the armies with dead images and updating all of the new submissions!

Default Sons of Morkai

The Sons of Morkai are a successor Chapter to the Space Wolves. Their geneseed is unafffected by what destroyed the Wolf Brothers chapter, only the Mark of the Wulfen affects them. Portrayed is a Veteran of the 1st Company. The Chapter symbol is a Black Wolf with Black Teeth swallowing the Sun.

Motto:

FIGHT OR DIE!

Sons of the Dead

A rather gothic chapter of space marines that think the dead will aid them in battle and power there armour and weapons. No one is quite sure of there origins, and some of there number have turned to chaos in the last 10,000 years. They have been known to keep the skulls of there enemys, the Ordo Malleus worry they may have been influcened by chaos. despite this, they are well known for they marksmenship and skill with a bolter.

Thumbs up

Chapter Name: Earth Lions
Emblem: Lion's head, open and roaring
Colours: Metallic gold and green
Home World: Lynxium IX (only name is known, exact location is a mystery)
Current Chapter Master: Supreme Grand Master Danius Leoden (a play on Daniel and the lion's den)
Founding: Exact date unknown
Background: The Earth Lions chapter was founded by a rogue Inquisitor named Pantheros. He was a Recongregationist, and believed that what the current Imperium was is not what the Emperor envisioned. He set about recruiting others who thought as he did, and created a new Astartes chapter using gene-seed samples from the most intact of the legions, most notably the Dark Angels and Ultramarines. Not wanting them to fall to Chaos as nine of the previous legions did, he also took a gene-seed sample from the Grey Knights. Some decades later, on a distant planet barely within range of the Astronomican, Pantheros succeeded in creating a new chapter, which he named the Earth Lions, after the ancient name of Terra. Pantheros lived until just over 100 years old, although exactly how he died is unknown. The chapter's home-world of Lynxium IX has a gigantic statue of Pantheros, dedicated to the man who was brave enough to stand up for his vision of an enlightened humanity.
Summary: The Earth Lions are not like their brother chapters. Pantheros instilled the Imperial Truth within all of them - the Emperor's philosophy that would free mankind of religion and false superstition. To this end they do not use Chaplains in their ranks. They also deviate quite a bit from the Codex Astartes, believing it to be a hindrance in battle. Also, their technological prowess is quite advanced, as the Techmarines and Forge Masters have a better understanding of what they work with.
Perhaps the most stunning fact about the Earth Lions, is that not a single member - Recruit or Grand Master, has ever turned to the lure of Chaos. This has never been seen outside the ranks of the Grey Knights.
The new recruits receive a modification to their larynx, which allows them to bellow out a sound that sounds like the roar of a lion. The chapter uses this as their battle cry, and it can be quite intimidating in a battle situation.
Home World summary: Lynxium IX is a planet far from the reach of Terra, and barely within range of the Astronomican. This isolation allows the Earth Lions some form of safety and security. The planet itself is surrounded by a dense asteroid field, and the asteroids are armed by the chapter with multiple weapon batteries, like Turbo Lasers and large Melta cannons. This makes navigation and intrusion extremely difficult.
On the surface, Lynxium IX is unlike anything seen for millennia. The planet was not inhabited by any alien species, and was relatively simple for Pantheros to colonize. It is here that the Earth Lions were born. Lynxium IX is very similar to Terra itself, or at least what Terra used to be - beautiful, clean, and wondrous.
Allegiances, etc: The Earth Lions are not exactly on good terms with their brother chapters, whom believe that they are too close to the edge of heresy and corruption. This has often lead them into conflict with one another, with the Earth Lions barely escaping annihilation thanks to their technology and skill. The Inquisition also wants them dead, but has so far been unsuccessful, as the chapter has installed agents with the organisation itself, to warn them of any nefarious plans the Inquisition may have planned.

Strangely enough, the Earth Lions will voluntarily form temporary alliances with another alien race, if the situation calls for it. These alliances are extinguished once the job is done, although the chapter does not part with their former allies on bad terms, preferring to just simply leave as if they were never there.

Also, despite how they feel about what the Imperium currently is, the chapter will still help rescue human worlds from all threats - be they daemonic creatures, hostile aliens, or zealous Imperials.
