I just read the Space Marine special rules about the character rules & I wondered has anyone one used the Commander, Librarian AND Chaplain in the same game? If you have was it worth it?

I haven't used them all one in one game. But if you really want them you should only consider it in games above 2000 points. Having so much HQ Characters may sound like a good idea but their cost will be very high.
Also, if you stick them all in a command squad, which you must do if you want more than 2 Characters, then that squad will be highly expensive. The enemy knows that and will shoot at it or tries to stay out of CC with it.

Characters are not game winners, troops are.

Remember the rule:

It's better to have more marines than fancy (and expensive) wargear.

I use all 3 in my Imperial Fists Lysanderwing, and at 1500pts too. But then again the whole army is 24 Terminators and 15 Scouts, so I'm kinda built for it.

Look in the command squad entry. You can take a commander, and put him in a command squad with a libby and a chappy. So all three in one choice

I noticed that it says that you can take a commander, Chappy Or Libby.

I'm I just being difficult or Is that the wrong part?? :huh:

You can have a Commander, Librarian, or Chaplain lead an HQ squad & further have either a Librarian or Chaplain attached to said squad.

I think it better to never be greedy and to take one of those leaders into battle. The more wargear you have to use on them the easier you lose when they are shot down.

Use numbers and thier deaths wont matter as much.

I have actually faced a squad before that had a Commander, Chaplain and Librarian in it. It was an Ultramarines army, 2750 points, and I was facing Calgar, Tigerius, a Master of Sanctity, along with a minimum Honour Guard squad. And they were all mounted in a Land Raider. The whole HQ slot was something like 1000 points on its own. Being &#39;Nids (no ranged AP) and having an idiot Marine player for a partner, they walked through my army.
