Default Raven Guard Company Organization

After reading the new Horus Heresy books I noticed that the World Eaters had Assault Companies. Now you may wonder what that has to do with the Raven Guard, well since they are one of the First Founding Chapters and difer from standard codex organization (With Blessed Be the Warriors, and Flesh Over Steel), in that they have quite a few more Assault Marines and not as many vehicles. Since the World Eaters had Assault Companies I'm wondering whether the Raven Guard ever did and/or still do maintain Assault Squads, along with or in place of Battle and Reserve companies.

If not than is there any fluff as to the disposition of the Raven Guard's battle companies to account for so many assault marines?

And finally does anyone know of any fluff indicating which company Shrike leads?

3rd company, look in the codex in the quote box in his entry, it should say there.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

So, your question is answered?

I'm really looking forward towards the BL book Fulgrim, if I am correct it features the drop site massacre and thus the Raven Guard will be fighting in that book.

The Ravenguard are a codex chapter. Therefore the 4 battle companies each have two squads of assault marines (companies 2-5).

In addition they will have on reserve company comprised entirely of assault marines, I believe it is the 8th company that is the assault one. The amount of jetpack troops could be indicative of two things

1 - Their assault marines use jetpacks primarily as opposed to using bikes or land speeders in battle.

2 - Not only do assault squads use jetpacks but so do some veteran squads from the 1st company. This would explain why they can get furious charge.

Yea it's the 8th Company with the 10 assault squads.

However if the 1st company deploys via Jump Pack more often than as power armored veterans or Terminators I'd imagine that would be quite similiar to an Assault Company.

One of the White Dwarfs has the Index Astartes Article for the Raven Guard but GW's index is not functioning for some reason, that figures.

Its White Dwarf 295. All it says about organization is that they follow Code Astartes although the exact make up varies extensively.
