Default Dev Transport: Rhino or Razorback?

I'm looking at getting a transport to give my Devestators some mobility, and the Razorback kinda jumped out at me. My Dev squad is small enough to not be limited by the decreased carrying capacity, and a twin-linked heavy bolter seems like a pretty nice bit of firepower to be packing with a fire support squad.

I know, however, that a lot of people here don't really like the Razorback.

So I was wondering which of the two you thought would be the better option, and why.

i like it but id say rhino
you can have 2 people firing out the top eg 2 heavy bolter armed marines instead of a twin linked heavy bolter

Yeah, but with the Razorback, you can park it and add that TL heavy bolter to all the other fire coming from your Dev squad. Although the idea of a drive-by with Plamsa Cannons is rather enticing...

First off you can't fire heavy weapons out of a vehicle that has moved so there's no real advantage to being in a vehicle, except maybe being less likely to die from certain kinds of fire. The other thing is, a razorback does not have two firing points like the rhino. Now the razorback can be useful because it is has an extra gun that can fire at a completely different unit and you can use it to block a lane of fire at the devestator squad.

Where does it say that in the rules? (I'm not saying that I don't believe you, I just have never read that.)

Hm, too lazy to go find my rulebook but it states that models inside a transport that moved, count as moving.

Because the actually unit is moving, albeit via transport, it cannot fire heavy weapons.

Hope that clears it up for you

Well damn... There goes the advantage of having a Dev squad using the firepoints. That Razorback is in the lead.

You could always, just sit and shoot. You know? Just in the corner? Disembark when things get a little dangerous, only keep 2 heavy weapons in the squad so you aren't wasting shots. Heck, you could make the squad anti-tank, and have the razorback anti-infantry for the double threat
;D

Good plan, the one I plan to use if I can spare the points(and room, and cash).

I'll likely take the razorback from the tac squad that's using it, buy another razorback+6man unit box, combine the squads and give the razors to my devs.

Expensive plan though, won't happen overnight.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?
