i have black templars and one of my buddies are having witch hunters. in codex black templars it says that black templars will not be allies with armies with phychic powers but grey knights are okay. but in codex witch hunters it says that they can be allies with black templars and they are using phychic powers.
so can they or cant they be allies ??? ???

You cannot have them in the same force organization chart(FOC). But if you are two separate players(IE, he plays Witch Hunters, You play Black Templar) than you can "ally." What Abhor the witch means is that you cannot take an Inquisitor with psychic powers(you can take an inquisitor, he just cannot have psychic powers) on the same list as your Templar.

Does that clear it up?

Nope. Sisters of Battle are not Psykers. The Inquisitors(the actual people, Inquisitor Lord and the Like) can have psychic powers, the Sisters cannot. The reasoning for the Grey Knights is because they come stock with powers. For Inquisitors you purchase the power. And not all Witch Hunter Inquisitors are girls by the way

Actually by the rules all Inquisitors, both witch hunter and daemon hunter ones are pyskers, it says as much in their description. This means that black templars can't take an inquisitor/inquisitor lord ally. They can still ally with Inquisitorial storm troopers, sisters of battle and of course grey knights.

Incorrect. The BT special rule states that you may not ally with anyone that has a Psycic power, so if you do not purchase any powers for them, you may still take them.

From BT codex

No model with psychic powers may be fielded as an ally to the Black Templars and they will not fight as allies to any models with psychic powers, with the exception of Grey Knights Space Marines.

From Daemonhunters

Psyker:Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Lords are often potent psykers an dmay select powers from the Ordo Malleus Psychic Powers List.

Thus psychic powers do not come stock, and you may include Inquisitors and Inquisitor Lords in your BT army.
