Default starting black templars

im starting BT soon, i was just wonding what should be the first thing i buy? i was thinking an emprors champion, a marshal, two crusader squads and 2 scout squads?

1. You must have an Emporer's Champion in an army of at least 750 points.
2. There are no scout squads, but there are neophytes. These neophytes are allegedly "young marines" in training. They are included with a crusader squad and don't have the special scout rule.

Really you should get more stuff, because a black templar army needs and Emporer's Champion as the power house of close combat.

Honestly, the first thing you should but when considerering any new army is a Codex. Once you know the rough composition of your proposed force, it's background and how it fights, you'll be better informed when it comes to actually picking out the models you want. No new plan ever survives first contact with reality and you will inevitably revise your plans time and time again as you discover what works best against different foes, but a flawed plan is better than no plan at all.

the good thing about GW stores are that they usually have a " look inside" codex that you can use.
