The most noble is of course the Ultramarines.

Cut and slash and hack and slice,
Welcome to my paradise.

No one's left to search for me.

I'd agree with Evisser on this one... although that whole do whats right if it means breaking the codex thing throws a monkey wrench in it.

Black Templars are the "chapter" that strikes me as the most "noble" although I see them being extreme in how they view doing the right thing.

If by noble you mean helping out the general populace and just being honorable, I'd put my money on either the Salamanders or the Space Wolves. Besides, the Space Vikings Wolves don't really give a shit about the Codex Astartes anyways.

Heck, the Space Wolves don't even care about the Inquisition! They've shot at the Black Ships just for asking to enter their territory :P.

I'll go with the Space Wolves. They would definitely try to do the right thing even if it meant their death or ignoring a direct order from a Lord Inquisitor. I'll agree that Ultramarines would do the same, but doubt to the same extent as the SW's.

I thought my statement was clear.

Noble as in doing what is right eventhough it may bend/break the laws of the Imperium.

Examples:

1) A Space Marine chapter fighting against Chaos even when anInquisitor told them not to.

2) Teaming up with an alien race (E.g. Eldar) to fight against a great threat even when it is against their codex doctrine.

3) Saving human lives even when the SM squad where told to leave.

Yeah, Space Wolves would fit that description nicely.

Nah... Legion of the Damned...

C'mon! They're the Firehawks chapter and they don't give a damn about what the =I= thinks! Plus, they always fight against Chaos
