Before you say anything, I notice the supreme lack of Heavy Support. That is my next addition to the Army, and after that, another troop selection. Open to any criticism, good or bad. |

Most of all, you need 2 Troop choice selections and you've got only a single one. Plus, the numbers for your Grey Hunters are wrong. Even after satisfying your Troops requirements, still invest in even more troops and in Rhinos to lug them around, as they're what's making the Wolves effective.
After, you've got too many expensive and ineffective toys at such a low point range. The Iron Priest and the Runic Armor don't replace raw numbers of warm bodies. Also, I wouldn't use Termies until you're at least in the 1500+pts games. Give those Assault Cannons whenever possible, as they're really great!! |

Let's take it one at a time, shall we?

Same Idea about the SB on the Wolf Lord, and Terminator armour makes him too slow at this points level. Quote:

Essentially what I think you should do is gear this army to be a close quarters one, since that's what Space Wolves are intended for. You need to increase the number of bodies in the army since its extremely low, and remove the Terminators and the Iron Priest. Good luck in writing your next list, and I hope all this helped .

Okay, I know that I need another troop selection.
I know the iron priest is worthless without vehicles i know termis are really expensive. But i went to a hobby store this weekend, and it probably was the only hobby store I would be able to go to in probably two months, so my reasoning was Get something here, or don't get anything at all. With me so far? There was a 50% off sale at the store, and that is accually a double edged sword. On one hand, I could buy twice as much, but on the other, there wasn't much I could buy. They had some landraiders, but I'm waiting to get something like that till after my core army is built. They had terminater blisters, and lots of them. But no troop boxes whatsoever (for marines that is). No power-armor blisters either. So, using my get something here or get nothing logic, I went with the terminators. That's why I have so much. And it's the same reason i have that odd iron preist in there, just a different store with not much selection in space wolves. Accually, out of all the hobby stores i've gone to so far, only one has a near decent selection of wolf minis. so, in conclusion, I have explained why this list is so termi-heavy why there is an absence of troops why there is no heavy support but I will in fact switch that runic weapon with a normal power one...and I did accually mis-type some things (its hard getting all that calculations and then typing it right). but it's now fixed on the list *BTW*This list isn't complete, this is kind of a checkpoint to see what I need in order to keep building. The critisism helped. Thanks.*BTW* |

Oh okay, that explains a lot.
I think that you should post your hypothetical SW list for review, since all these things will come in use in the future but you don't have a core which we can help flesh out. This way you won't spend money on models that you won't use because we say that it's pointless or counterproductive. At least I gave you some pointers about what to do with those models that you have now :P.
