[The Flaminator]

I already have a chapter (Royal Guard), but have a new idea that I'd like to replace it with. I currently have only 5 terminators painted with the RG color scheme (Red, purple, gold) so it would't be hard to change.heres my new idea:

The Knights Of The Bloody (Bleeding) Skull. There colors would be Skull white and blood red (Obviously). Should I leave the termies the color that they are, and use them like the DA's use deathwing Termies (alternate colour scheme for terminators)? Let's here some of your guys' oppinions.

When I first started collecting Maries, I think it took me a year to deside on a colour scheme.

At first I decided to have all the squads a different colour, e.g.. red, blue and yellow, I kept all there guantlets black tho. This changed however, as a freid of mine saw the marines and said "What the?, are they supposed to be like that? what are they called?" to witch I replied the Black Whakers (as in fist) chapter.

Needlees to say he went into an uproar of luagther, "You cant call them that, it could be taken the wrong way, think about it!", That chapter then changed to ultramarines, I painted one librarian and one squad. I kept them about one mounth then decided I didn't like them much.

After that I decided to go Chaos, I used the same models and made a chaos chapter. the scheme was moderatly purple. I stayed with my fallen for a while, but again a changed my mind and wanted loyalist. I went down to GW chose some colours, Fortress Gray, Scab Red, Chaos Black, Golden Yellow, Boltgun Metel and Shining Gold. I had no idea what I would paint with them. I got them home chose, a model at random and got to it.

The result of all this is my Cremators Chapter. Scab Red armour, Fortress Gray trim, Golden Yellow wires an chest bird (can't spell egil,) and Black bolters and under armour.

Having alternat colour schemes is a really good idea, it breaks up your painting so your not painting the same scheme over and over. Your termies are allreaddy painted however.
I would sugest painting a marine up in your new scheme, hold your termie next to it and see if they look good next to eachother. You might decide to change the white to a boney colour if the contrast makes your eyes blur of somthing.

If you have the Terminators a different colour, then I'd suggest writing in a reason.

Perhaps the "Red, Purple and Gold" was the personal heraldry of the 1st Company Commander, who led an expedition into a Space Hulk infested with Genestealers. Despite the danger, and losing almost 80% of the first company, the attack was successful, and the Space Hulk was recovered intact, yielding its secrets and technoarcana.

The Company Commander died in the attempt. The heraldry was borne from then on by his Company in honour of his sacrifice.
