Default Help please!!

OK i got a Space Wolf army that im trying to build up so that i can just get into close combat and over over welm them with troops... WEll fighting tau like this dosnt seem to be working very well..i mean it works good with orks becasue i can put tons of bullets into them before they attack me and with eldar well i can usually overwelm them but with tau they just cut my men to sheads before they even get into shooting range!

use rhinos and a venerable dreadnought to increase you chances of getting first turn. also, put your rhinos behind cover and your troops outside of your rhino. then, first turn, embark and move forwards 12"...this'll put you in charge range fairly quicly, so they won't be able to do a damn thing

i basically use this pretty simple tactic against any tau army i face, and i've lost only one game against 'em (on a 72" long board...and even then, i knocked down half)

How does having a venerable dreadnaught increase your chances of getting the first turn? I always field my venerable dreadnaught and it'd be a really handy advantage!

the space wolf one is different to the normal SM one...it has boosted stats, extra weapon options and gives a re-roll for first turn as well...coincidentally, it has a boosted pts cost as well

Gah...Imperial Fists just don't have anything like that going for them. They've got the whole siege masters thing, but how often do you use that?
