I voted Ultramarines. They are the poster boys of 40k as a whole. When someone says "Space Marine," I immediately think of the boys in blue. Other chapters probably have just as good (if not better) fluff now, but still the bar is set with Ultras.

These guys are what it's all about. Cool? Hell ya.

Black Templars are nice, not the coolest though. I was simply pointing out their absence.

I voted for Space Wolves. As a whole I like the way their chapter works, they are pragmatic and honorable, clean and efficient. While they may seem feral on the outside their fleet and functions are more orchestrated than the fluff Ive read for many other chapters. Plus the whole Vikings in space thing is cool.

Grey Knights and Deathwatch, equal 1st without question in my opinion.

Out of the list above, Blood Angels, who coincidentally I'd rank as the coolest after GK and DW anyway.

The Death Guard are now chaos unless Im mistaken. Grey Knights are an interesting chapter however its not like they are even in the space marines group, they are a Daemonhunter force. I think the idea was the coolest Space Marine chapters that are used as space marines. Grey Knights are Daemonhunters and Deathguard are Chaos Space Marines. *shrug* but yea Grey Knights are really cool.

You're right, my bad - I meant Deathwatch, not Guard. Post edited. (See, that's the problem with all these bloody Marines, there are so many with similar names that even a player like me, who's been at the game for 14 years, makes mistakes...!)


As for 'Marines that are used as Marines' - well he didn't say that, did he? I chose one from that list anyway.
