Default Space Wolves and Drop Pods

I know teleporting Space Wolves onto the field is not very fluffy, Space Wolves don't really trust technology too much, but where do Drop Pods fit in, fluffy or not? Thanks.

I suppose an armoured lump of ceramite is less techy than a teleportation device....

I would imagine that Space Wolves wouldn't use Drop Pods, as they believe in fighting face to face, and with both feet on the ground "as Russ intended".

I'm affraid you're off there, Wargamer - as the Codex states, Space Wolves can use drop pods for their entire army - they hate teleportation and you actually CAN'T use it in rules terms.

I could see the SW using drop pods to get close to the enemy quickly if they couldn't land their Rhinos and Razorbacks... which are normally a trademark and crutch of Space Wolf armies.

I bet the SW would love the Drop pods.

Space Wolf: Pilling in to huge metal boxes sent hurtling through space crashing into the enemy, spilling huge warriors into the enemies bouls with little chance of survival. Sounds great where do I sign up.

Hmmm...I'd think drop pods would get you "face to face" in a hurry, and both feet are on the ground before the slugfest commences. But, I see BF has already spoken ;D

Cool! Any quick advice on how to use the Drop Pods? (i.e. Drop pod entire army? Or, just parts. And, should I drop them into/behind cover, or near the enemy to rapid fire?)

If you look at the Codex, there's no two ways about it - either you leave the drop pods at home, or put everything that fits in one, no middle ground.

You mean you can not, or you should not? Thanks.
