Default USA!

I just couldn't resist painting my space marine army U.S.A. colors. I would love post my paintings but unfortunately my camera isnt working. Okay so what if it doesn't tie in with 40K I take pride in being a american. I even painted my chapter banner the american flag. Right now I'm working on making a eagle on it. What do you guys think?

so, you mean they're painted in the american colours of red, white and blue?? those unique and special colours reserved only for the US?? oh, and england?? oh, wait, and australia?? and new zealand?? and france?? need i go on??

i guess its alright. i'm not a fan...its just another extension of painfully excessive patriotism to me, but then again, you obviously view it differently. and i guess some people paint their armies in their favourite sports team's colours, so this really ain't much different from that, when you get right down to it...

Alright!

Well ok its kinda obsessive... and kinda strange... and well...

Ok it doesnt matter, thats cool. Its nice to see some patriotism though Im sure I would really dislike turning my Tau armies guns on USA marines. Its a bit strange but good for you!

USA aren't really the colours I'd thought you'd stick on the enforcers of a facist imperial regime... but whatever turns you on. :

I'd say those colors are a bit on the bright and cheerful side for any imperial army...but then, I play drab (grey and tan, mostly) IG and brooding (dark green, mostly) DA...so maybe we just have different tastes. I even see Ultramarines and Blood Angels as "too shiny" in most cases (I do have a friend with a BA army where the red looks gloriously dusty/faded).

Colors like that belong on harlequins.

Except no Harlequin would ever wear the American colours... they have better taste than that.

Funny...I was thinking they wouldn't wear french colors...oh, wait, they're the same colors...and the same as the UK....wait, someone else already pointed that out.

What was that they said about those who live in glass houses and throwing stones?

Imperial guard would be cool painted as americans, with big flags on everything! I might have to put little flags on my tanks actually... not USA ones mind...

Oh and tau would look great with soviet symbols with the helmetless tau with KGB stlye hats on, and big robes. Half the guys wouldnt get ammo though if they were like that, or some would have wooden guns...

The marines MUST have the trait 'Have pride in your colours' though!
