Default Best "all Round" Deep Striking Termie Squad?

well, i have currently have a 750pt Imperial Guard Army, and a Chaplain and Tactical squad of my new SM army, and i want to "deploy" a squad of Termies, i definately will deep strike them, so i was wondering what you guys consider to be a "good" choice for what i have already...

my Imperial guard is mainly shooty but with no tanks apart from 2 chimmies, my SM army is a CC orientated army, which uses SW rules, i will make the arms interchangable on the termies, as i have an easy way of doing it...

so just a "normal" SM Terminator squad for Imperials and a Wolf Guard squad for my space puppies... thanks...

well, for the wolves, you'll need a drop pod...but beyond that, as many assault cannons as you can pack in, ideally with master crafting. and give the assault cannon wielders power fists. give the rest of the squad matched lightning claws or thunder hammers and bolter-meltas or plasmas

For the standard, pretty much the same but you want to toss a Librarian in there with some nifty close range powers. Fear the Darkness is always a nasty, nasty suprise.

IMHO, the best you can do is 5 models with 2 assault cannons and one chainfist. You cannot mastercraft them, as they aren't available to characters, only as upgrades to a max of two squad members. You cannot mix assault weapons (thunderhammer, lightning claw) with heavy weapons (Heavy Flamer, Cyclone, Assault cannon). Powerfists come standard on non-character models. Sergeants have powerswords standard. None of the upgrades are good points investments for the sergeant (I think a pair of lighning claws costs as much as a whole nother terminator!). Given that you can shoot but not assault on the turn that you arrive, even from a drop pod, the upgrade is too expensive for what it does, and assaulty terminators should not deepstrike. Attaching a "fear of the darkness" equipped librarian is a good trick against many opponents.

Best bet is what I started the post with. 8 rending ass-cannon shots, plus 6 stormbolter shots. If you land near a tank, one chainifist and 3 powerfists should make a nice mess the next turn, unless it moves out of range, which is nice, too, since you've got him on the run. You can continue to chase the tank while shooting other targets (or the tank!). One word of caution. Do not charge 10 marines with 5 terminators. The veteran sergeant with the powerfist or powersword will kill 2 terminators before you kill the rest of his squad. And the squad could easily kill one terminator on their own before they die. This is only worthwhile if you're taking a severe beating from a devastator squad (generally not 10 models, anyway!)

Personally I use 1 assault cannon and 2 chainfists. It works for me but then my Marines are completely cc based and they have a chapter master and a librarian with them as well so that may be why.
