Are the Beacky boys space marines Vetrans? I was thinking of doing a commander with a beacky helmet?

I was thinking since they were the earlier models/ stile of unifrom they would be older hence veterans, it would make seances after all.

Veterans can be shown in many different ways. GW released a "Veterans" box, but I just use Death Company models (they have lots of extra iconography, befitting warriors of such renown).

The narrow beak-like helmets are indicative of an older Marine, but doesn't connotate Veteran status. You can certainyl use them as veterans, but know it's not essential.

Not really even an older marine, just older armour. if it can be saved the armour will be fixed and passe don to new marines, sometimes even telling each new marine the history of the armour. The Beakie was one of the current eight armour designs out there apparently. They range in types and shapes but generally the armour has some touch points in common.

the 1st and 2nd ed models i think were based around the beak helemt - always see one of those old battle illustrations and they are wearing the beaks. nowadays they are just a standard helmet along with all the others....
