What do you think? Basically, the Drop Podded Sternguard have to come in on my first turn, and everyone else rocks on up to help them out. The sternguard are a Deathwatch Kill Team led by a librarian and the rest of the force are supporting elements from a chapter, in this case, Crimson fists.

I'm not so sure about the Librarians second power, vortex of doom... force Dome might be more useful.

And to go to 1500 Points I'd add an Ironclad in a Drop Pod, another Tactical squad with a fist in a Drop Pod and another Vindicator. Or there abouts, minor tweaks to fit it all in. How would that work? Nicely I hope...

I like the list.

I agree that your choice of psychic power might not be best. Vortex of Doom, being a Heavy weapon with a mere 12" range, will likely see absolutely no use on your Librarian. I'd only ever put it on a Terminator Librarian thanks to the Relentless rule that Termie armor bestows. Force Dome is good, as is Avengers or Smite if you want more killing power.

i would consider getting another Tac squad... I know in 1000pts its not really an option, but for 1500 i normally want a good 40 marines and bolters watching my back...

I'm not so sure about the drop pod coming in first turn, i think they will tend to get singles out and gunned down before the support can really get there. Turn 2 would be ideal however. If only we could guarentee that...
Other than that the lists looks really good.

Didn't even notice it was heavy! That will be getting changed then, I'll probably go with smite, mainly because I loved using it in 3rd edition.

The other option is to give them a Rhino, otherwise, with only one drop pod they have to come in on my first turn. Thats why with the 1500pt list I added 2 more drop pods, a Tac squad to support them and an Iron Clad to help out too.
I'll try and avoid dropping them into suicide positions though, generally I'll aim somewhere advantageous but not to far away from help. And they'll have Gate to help them escape if it gets to hot and there not already shot to bits.

Thanks. First list I've made that I'm quite happy with.
Thanks for the advice.
