Default Blood angels new codex list

Hmmm I've been wondering for quite a while and let's see...

Hq
Dante-I know I know hefty price for him but saniguary guard troops!!!!

Mephiston- for the price of and land raider that could also take down a land raider
With the strenth 10 phychic power that could be 6 attacks

Elites

Saniguary guard
Chapter ban
3 infernus pistols
Goes with Dante
Deep strike without scatter... Vehicle poopers ESP land raiders

saniguary priest just 1
Jump pack
Goes with the saniguary guard.... Furious charge, death mask crazyness 3 then
A three again

Troops
2 tactical squads
Melta
Lascannon

Death company x5
Jump packs
All power swords
Lemartes
I know really expensive but think what it could do?

Death company dread
Drop pod

Fast attack
2 Baal predators assualt can/heavy bolters

So this is my list for now in the new codex

Is that about 2K?

Personally I hate how small it is. The tacs and Baals are solid, but the Dante/SG/SP unit is what, close to 500 points? That's a lot of eggs in one basket right there. Sure, they'll probably pop a tank when they come down, but then they're bunched up tight and will likely get a vindi shell to the face or something... that's 500 points flushed. Spose it depends on who your regular opponents are and what they field.

I feel the same way about the DC. Lemmy is great, but you don't need to many power weapons, two is enough, but I'd be tempted not to bother. For a fire and forget unit they pack enough of a punch to be high on the threat list, but ultimately not difficult to deal with. An infernus pistol here might be a bonus just in case your opponent sends you chasing that 50pt land speeder...

Bad, imo. Personally I see the BA list either to be a full jump pack army with either back up tanks/skimmers or enough melta bombs to take out vehicles or a mech list.

Firstly 2 named characters? Too much, too much of a point sink which leaves all their high S weps aiming for your HQ units and baal preds. Meph will be walking all over the board leaving him open and the opponeat will just be facing waves of your troops with large gaps inbetween, as nothing will be able to over power his army on their own especially with the enemy using speed bumps.

Either Replace the tacs with regular assualt marines and remove their jump pack then add a Razorback for a tiny point sink of 120 points, then you can always add assualt cannons or laz cannons for a small price for some more anti-tank and mobility.

Next big change is get more Death Company another 5 and put them in a Rhino and get rid of either Dante or Mephiston, putting them in a vehicle will mean you can ignor the rage rule. Then just escort the 2 Razorbacks and Rhino with the 2 Baal preds and use the dread and the guard to distrupt the enemy and take out any anti-tank targets so you can take your time and watch your enemy hides as he has no anti-tank to pop your vehicles.

The only way to ever field DC with Jump Pack is 3-4, as soon as you hit 5 your beyond overpaying for packs, you can get a Rhino with Extra Armor for that and get 18 inch movement instead of 12+1d6. If you aren't worried about them getting into assault as fast as possible you could also opt for a razorback with a good gun.
They have so many attacks power weapons really aren't needed, one or 2 and you'll be peachy. You morely need a power fist if you wanna take out vehicles and that's really it. I use to wipe squads of space marines with just rending and never rolling rending hits, having 4 attacks per model with re-roll attack/wounds very much negates the power weapon need in most cases.

yea i realize this now i am going to change mephiston maybe for dev or better yet 2 attak bikes, dc take off jump packs put in rhino and a take off lemartes for regular chappy and dante will follow up the rhino for cover and furioso libby maybe

I agree. Blood Angels armies, being generally smaller due to the expense of specialist units, need to be able to coordinate all units together. The speed of said units is critical. If you have units with different maneouvrability you'r not as able to play to the BA's strength.

That's certainly much better, much more synergistic. I prefer a 10 man tac to have a Rhino, but this way you have some small (reasonably expendable) objective sitters with AT ability, plus transports for most of the army.

I seen kill teams bigger than the first list. Wow I guess 30-40 models is the norm with ba. Makes the army cheap to collect. I'm not as scared as I was before if the armies is gonna be that small on the norm.
