Default Lion and Wolf; 1,500pt Deathwing & Wolfwing.

I am really tempted to trot out an all-Terminator army. The problem is I really don't know which one to go with.

I have been debating the same things recently myself. I want to run an all terminator army and I can't decide between the two. Fluff wise I lean more towards the Wolves, but in this case I like the Deathwing list better, but that is because my personal preference is not to go top heavy with HQs. I think the Wolfwing could work looking at the points values of the Wolf Guard squads, but I think I would run it differently. Although I am very impressed with all the HQ goodness you got into the list at 1500 points.

Neither list is really optimized, imo, but I realize that probably isn't your goal.

Wolves could be fun, for sure. Another squad of WG might be a good idea if you want to slash some of your HQ.

The Deathwing terminator squads would probably disappoint in their current form.

No, it isn't. However, it's important the list doesn't fall into the realms of Unplayable (as Ravenwing have). The army is not going to the GT, but it's going to be used against people who I'd like to beat at least 1 game in 2.

I suppose I could part with Bjorn...

Care to expand on that?

Deathwing list is good...

Wolfwing list is pure unadulterated cheese.

Really? I had the feeling it was a little weak, given the fact it has two Scoring Units and sod-all else...

Besides the fact that you're taking thunder hammer/storm shield termies (most worthless option possible in the DA codex; if your friends are letting you use the updated wargear then great), you really should pick either a choppy or shooty focus. Right now you're lacking a lot of firepower while having only above average at best close combat ability (a real close combat army will tear you apart). Your squads seem to be focused on close combat (while retaining some shooting, thereby diluting their effectiveness at both) but you also have no means of getting there. The only way I've effectively seen close combat termie squads used are in raiders. If you're slogging, you're dead.

Footslogging is fun! ;D

Just because you can mix and match with the deathwing termies doesn't mean you necessarily should. Realize that the list can work, but it's not necessarily as good as a specialized assault or shooty deathwing list.

I've already commented on #1. As for #2... 10 troops.

Trust me on this one: they can disappear fast is someone wants them to. Having three special characters isn't cheese, it's just expensive.

Actually, the list has eight troops - if I'd had ten I couldn't put the characters in the Drop Pods!

Sorry, I got confused with how you wrote your list. I thought the first squad had five because of how you had worded the title so I assumed that about the second (despite reading all of it o_O).
