[Eighty]

Having finally managed to get back into Marines, I've been experimenting for awhile and managed to come up with a strange list that should hopefully be fairly effective, even though it hinges mainly around an apothecary and, gods forbid, a techmarine:

Tactical Squad Three-7x, Heavy Bolter, Plasma Gun-120

Assault Squad-x7, 2x Plasma Pistols-164

Setup


The idea is to have the apothecary covering the four firing squads, helping to deal with any losses, while the Techmarine not only offers a bit of CC punch, but also improves the performance of the Lascannon, since the list as a whole lacks dedicated AV.

Squad 3, with the captain, is more to act as a barrier so that the assault marines can then charge in as dedicated counter-assault units

Any comments would be greatly appreciated, as I'm more than a bit rusty

Good list.

Why not replace veterans and tactical squad 2 with a devastator squad and then fill in the remaining points with some scouts (or something cheap)??

I dont have my rule book at work with me - but why does the techmarine help out the lascannon?
